Haha, hey Brogan! How did you find this?! Anyways, I'm already missing band. I get sad whenever I watch this video, because I'm afraid that this is the last time I will see some of you guys. High school band was a big part of my life, and I had some of the greatest moments in band. Brogan, when you go to FSU, let's keep in touch. Just so you know, Starfire was written for and often performed by Maynard Ferguson during the birdland dreamband days, by Benny Golson. It's not "Old Fart, "Muscular Dystrophy" muzak??!? " The solo part was nice but the band needs lots of work.

Dude, what's with the Old Fart, "Muscular Dystrophy" muzak??!? I think I feel some muscular dystrophy happening to my legs as I'm listening to this clip... Just kidding. It's the Jazz Band director's choice of music. You are definitely being "held back" by the mediocrity of the other member's musicianship. Sounding great, Joe! My name is Joe too. I remember being the top musician in Jr.H.S. and H.S. and having to play simple stuff. Hang in there.
