Don't be too hard on me. I just pulled this out after months of not playing it, and years of not seriously practicing this piece. Plus I'm not playing it on the right kind of guitar.
I don't think it sounds too bad with distortion. Now, if I can just work up the tempo to the "right" speed!

Eric, I learned tremolo a long time ago on the classical guitar. I really don't play that guitar much anymore so I practice finger picking on the electric. It takes some time for your fingers and nails to get used to it, but once they do, you can do pretty much the same things on one as the other.

I'm not trying to say that so many of them were Deists. The key Founders were neither strict Deists nor orthodox Christians, but somewhere in between with rationalism as the trumping element. No one really knows what most of them were. Certainly there were many orthodox Christians among them; perhaps they were a statistical majority. But the key Founders weren't Christians.

I saw on another thread where you went into great detail about how this prayer journal, written in his early 20s, was a fraud. Interesting. This is in dispute of course. Just a question: What is your interest in trying to say that so many of the founding fathers were Deists? And you admit "Deist" is not a suitable word? But were not most of them orthodox Christians? Thanks for this. I haven't yet made my Kansas pod-cast yet. I will. I'm sometimes astonished how so many prog rock guys think of Kansas as something alone the lines of Boston, Journey, Foreigner (Album Oriented Rock) and not the hard core prog-rockers that they were/are based on their golden years of their first 5 studio albums. I think they added something innovative to prog rock and should be thought of on the same lines as ELP, Yes, King Crimson, Genesis & Rush.

I debated it a bit with Neal and a bunch of scientists and other laymen like myself on a website called "Good Math, Bad Math" (I can post the url here, if you wish). Basically, from what I've been able to determine, the Prime Matter Particle is akin to the discredited ether theories of last century in that it's ultimately not falsefiable. I've even found some interesting videos on Prime Matter here on YouTube.

I wondered about that but didn't get far enough into his theory. I thought it was from being imbibed in comic book science. Like when Bruce Banner goes from 160 lbs to many more times...or when the Atom or Giant Man lose and gain mass...the comic book explanations I've read say the mass comes from and goes to other dimensions.

The most interesting part of Adams' theory (it's actually not Adams' theory; he's compiled a bunch of others' ideas together) - and the most inscrutable - have to do with their proposed Prime Matter Particle, which is evoked to explain the creation of matter out of the void (which is how planets supposedly grow).

Heh. My pleasure. I've got about 5000 comics in my collection and still try to get a few each week, but I try to limit what I read (time constraints of an adult). But I remember your run at Detective came out shortly after Miller's Dark Knight and newly explored Batman's now to be stressed "darker" side. I think I own all of your Detective Comics run from that era.
