That's awesome! I want to see this guy's routine again in person. Any pilot opinion's on the true danger level of these stunts? The plane probably is modified to fly slower and at higher AOA, or something.

I saw an airshow routine very very similar to this when I was a kid, probably 20 years ago. I think I remember them saying the tractor driver stole a plane and he was possibly drunk? It really freaked me out just for a second at the time, then I realized it must be a joke because the crowd wasn't reacting in fear, certain social ques you are learning when you are 11 years old. I wonder if this is the same pilot?

Good God! I fly a 65 horse Piper PA-11 and I cannot believe that this guy didn't stall and crash his Cub. He must have a hell of a lot more horses under that cowl... because a PA-11 sure won't fly like that!

Understand lame.. missed the sarcasm.. Although it's been covered by the other comments, I'd just say that if he treated this "seriously", it'd be like screaming "fire" in a theatre. If you'd ever gotten to see the shows, most of the adults are "in on it" or quickly become so, and it's really fun to watch the faces of the kids, as the parents say "wow - I hope he makes it down OK!" :-) But, you're right.. sorry I missed your sarcasm!! :-) And, I'm truly sorry if you never saw him fly!
