Alright, I bought a $100 Philips HDMI DVD player to go with it - and an extra gold plated cord, just in case it doesn't come with one. Thanks for the help.

dont worry: i have the same things and over HDMI (on my PS3) the movies look much better than on CRT! If you buy a TV like this you have to buy a Player with HDMI too. Thats make the difference!

They're (usually) standard 700MB movies converted with DivX to DVD and burned with ImgBurn. Granted, they look PRETTY good on my 32 inch CRT, but I'm worried that the new Bravia will expose its flaws.

i think it depends on the quality of the movie and how you encode it for the DVD. Is it avi? an episode? a hole movie? How much MB has it? etc...

Bought one for Christmas. Do you think playing burnt DVDs (with an already below par quality on a regular CRT) will look even worse on a Bravia TV?

it all depends cuz my limit is 600$ and thats pretty high considering that i was only gonna pay at the most was $400 but i want quality and a really good picture for the ps3 when i buy it i have 360 but ive played all the exclusives and im a big mototrstorm fan so im gonna buy one soon

but only for movies ps3 is better...if you wanna play games: 360 is your choice! And if you wanna play Games ONLY (no TV, no Movies etc.) get a samsung! But dont buy this anymore, buy the newer one!

nein. Ich bin wie gesagt sogar eher überrascht, wie viel besser das NeoGeo an diesem Fernseher aussieht als z.B. an meiner alten Röhre. Verzögerungen sind keine vorhanden, auch an allen anderen Konsolen nicht (bis auf PC Engine, CD-i und Pippin konnte ich bisher alle meine Konsolen testen).
