This is a awesome song, my only Aunt passed away about five years ago. This was one of her favorite songs and I had this played at her funeral.. She would have loved it !! :)

In 1987 I met Tom at a Tyson Foods sponsored get together at Dogpatch, Arkansas. I have always been a big fan of his since the early 70's. He is country music in it's purest form, not like todays so-called country. When I shook his hand I was so nervous I thought I was gonna throw up! This song was and still is my most favorite song of all time. He had this one song about Jimmie Rogers. I think it was called, "Me and Jimmie Rogers"? I wish somebody would post it! Thanks!!!!

Yes, he does deserve to be in the Country Music Hall of Fame. One of my dad's favorite country music singers. I remember this song so well, used to hear it often while growing up. ;-)
