Anyway, it's bad to judge how good a comic is by how they respond to hecklers. Some comics are not that quick on their feet but might have really good material e.g. Bill Hicks. Some comics are the opposite, they are really quick, and very good at trading insults but they don't have such great material e.g. Patrice O'Neal.

When you attack a heckler, you do so by picking on their flaws, their race, their weight, their gender, etc. But black people are so sensitive, it's hard to pick on their race.

Last Comic Standing in general creates very flat, stilted comedy sets cause they're asking comics to do jokes in such a short period of time, without the ability to pause or ride a joke out. Also there's that fear of screwing up words - I could imagine you slip up one word in a two minute set you're screwed - whereas if you have more time, megh just keep going.
