Anarchy Online seems to get by without a subscription fee. It's been going longer than WoW, too.

Why not try Anarchy Online? You don't even have to buy that, and although you pay a subscription fee for the expansions, the basic game is enough to occupy you for a long time.

first of all WoW is the most repetative game ever, all you do in it is point and click thats it; spending all your time and sacrificing your social life to get up to lvl 70 just sucks for you and finally (also the reason i like guild wars more and yes i have WoW also) Guild wars actually has a storyline

I don't think swayofpendulums played much of GW if at all. o.o; GW has an equal mix of pve and pvp.
