What I believe it means is that the further you come towards enlightenment, the more you have a meditation while being fully awake, do you don't need it as much because it becomes you.

Does anyone else ever experience a kind of white noise sensation when concentrating on the third eye, like hearing i really hectic stream of noise only its only in your head...i sometimes get this sensation whilst meditating. it can get really intense, i don't know if this is a good sign or a bad one. if anyone has any ideas or thoughts on this i would love to hear them.

It will open when you are ready. There are many ways: Meditation practices, FULLY surrendering to a God or Guru with devotion & trust, Karma Yogi....There are many paths but I would say Surrendering and Meditation Practices. Bhagavad Gita is a great place to start learning how to Surrender. It is said that by reading B.G, you will automatically have an altered consciousness even if you do not understand it

the process of any type of meditation will start awakening kundalini. But it is strongly recommended to go to a guru and follow instructions. Even if you do not worry about kundalini and continue with your spiritual practices in due course kundalini will start awakening. How long will it take depends of seversl factorm e.g. how much 'sanchit karmas' you are having, or how sincerely you are doing your sadhna, or which type of sadhna you are practicing etc.

you can go to god in a much easier way. Bhakti yoga. Lord krishna says it is the only way to go to him. Kundalini awakening process to be done fully and perfectly is impossible in kali yuga.

Swami, There was a question regarding manifestations where you said that was not possible. However, in the Bhagavad Gita and even you said this, you create your own universe. Meditation has multiple applications, but its main application is to bring a person into awareness of their true nature / the true self or soul within. To do this however you need to learn to still your mind chatter, thoughts, images, voices etc, and there are many techniques used (all of them can be called meditations) which can help you to do this. The Yogis, I'm noticing, on the otherhand, actually give the techniques that will lead to "the experience of 0 TPS". yes ! Of course when you need to use ur mind u must use it, but most of the time you are in a blissful state realizing how gorgeous everything is that moment. Is it true that when one is liberated from the mind it does not mean that the mind is never used, it just means that one remains mostly in the present moment instead of in thought, and that one can use the mind whenever necessary? Is this correct? Also, what is the fastest method, technique, or yoga to become liberated from the mind? Or is it different for each person?

This is what I've been trying to do . Yogananda Paramahamsa wrote about the energy current going up the spine ( kundalini/ baptism by fire), and about the energy current going down ,this I am not familiar with, but he mentioned that it comes down through the Guru. This energy current coming down is similar to what Jesus called Baptism with the Holy Spirit. I wonder if Swamiji does this. Does it help open the third eye?

Yogananda spoke it first to the west, read his Gita. Also Kurukshetra was an actual historic event, so it's not just a myth and allegory. It was event on many levels and therefore has an infinite depth of meaning. This is just one of the aspects. In India each sect fights for their version, but in reality there is infinite depth, so is the story of Moses and Christ. At the end Pandavas finished each other as well, he didn't get to that

the flag has hanuman on it. He is one who saves arjuna from karuna when karuna looses his powerful weapons and starts using his archery mastery to attack . After karuna is killed, krishna asks arjuna to come off the chariot, shows the hanuman and ask him to present himself....immediately after that the chariot along with horses gets burnt and trun to ashes....Krishna tell arjuna that it was lord hanuman and his power whcih was saving arjuna from the evil forces

My suggestion would be to get the DVD 'Be Unclutched'. In it Swamiji takes us step by step through the process - who we really are, how we think we are clutched and how to come out of it. If we just relax and witness the thoughts -don't create, sustain or try to destroy any thought - the number of thoughts will naturally come down. We will see that we are unclutched by our very nature.

Everytime this Swami speaks, I feel my heart alive, like Bhagavan in my heart is accepting food in the form of these divine words through the medium of my ears. This is beautiful. I had a self healing thought a couple of times throughout this video.

It's so true when it is said that a Guru is like Mother, Father and God, because when you are hearing Nithyananda speak, you are seeing divine words come from his mouth, a motherly touch of compassion in his eyes, and a fatherly sense of authority towards his discples, be they in his ashram or be they you and I watching thiese videos.

I noticed that the breaths coming from stomach like deep breaths and there was emptiness in the throat area. There was some vast empty feeling in the throat area similar to when v excercise and take deep breaths..And yes, like swamiji said that could know that the time spent on this vast feeling was equal to the time of incoming breath and outgoing breath..catching of the 1st neutral zone was a bit easier than the 2nd neutral zone, i felt.Thanks for sharing yr wisdom.May god bless you always

I have one other question. If Swamiji says "now be aware only of the incoming breath", what are we supposed to do during the NS and the outgoing breath? It seems very hard to not to notice/be aware of the other phases of breath because they are there. My guess is that I should just remain as unclutched as possible during the other breath phases.

Hello, I participate at the Columbus, OH temple. One person who has been doing the teachings for 1 year said that the important thing when listening to a discourse from Swami was to place attention on the silence between his words. And that if you can hear a discourse in a foreign language, it is best because then you dont spend any time intellectualing about it. Personally, I find the teachings rational in my native tongue and worth listening too. -- Terrence Brannon

Gurujis tekniks and the way He presents His message are very powerfull! i never been able to force myself to meditate and now just the sound of His voice put me in the meditations mood. I have no choice than sit and start the meditation. The results are amazing! I never fellt that meditation can give such pleasure! I bow to this Great Master!
