What the Hell was Blackmore using on his guitar sound back in those days. There is so high end on it and half the time it sounds like his fingers are getting stuff in the strings. His sound back in the 70's was so much better and vicious then it was in the 80's.

well although Gillan doesn't sound as amazing as he usually does, he still fucking kicks ass, Ian you influenced vocalists like Rob Halford and Bruce Dickinson, but who would think you would continue to influence people today, well if you don't believe it, let me just say I love the way you do falsetto's and screams and that was a major influence on me. Did see D.P. in 1999, Total Abondon tour with Steve Morse and it was one of the best nights id had in a while. Steve was good, but had to fill big shoes. Gillian was a bit rusty at first, but thank fuck for evergreens like Lord Paice and Glover. Those 3 where brilliant as usual. Total Abandon rocks. Pricks forgot about their Aussie fans for years.

i hade tickets to Sabbath in 1980, in Ozz, with Gillian singing.Band cancelled tour , was so looking forward to it. i love d.p and sabbath, but Gillian did'nt suit Sabbath. W

man, ritchie was actually smiling at gillan for once at 2:11. perhaps back then, blackmore liked the reunion with purple. of course that all changed in 1993.

I think he really fucked up his voice because of the 1 year stint he did with Sabbath after Dio and Vinny Appice were fired from the band over the controversy that was Live Evil

i saw deep purple on the 10th of august and i must say it was awesome. gillans voice was nearly destroyed in the 80's and 90's but to me it seems that he had practiced and worked very hard, to make his voice stronger and better. he did a wonderful job. glover was tight as always and paicey showed again that he's the drum-master!

oh, the vocals on this are so awful... I cant even rave about Blackie's solo like normal, maybe its just the overall audio of the clip, Jon Lord sounds good tho. "Jesus Christ Superstar", lol, thas the last filler Id expect Blackie to throw in tho, on The Mule maybe...BUT HERE?...still love seeing them so much tho. thanks for adding it.

Gillan was so bad in 1985. Now he has better voice. In 1985 he had problems with alcohol and drugs. This reunion was a "money reunion"
