Maybe you don't understand that people understood that this is FICTION. Tom Jones didn't present himself as a "gangsta" thug who went around stabbing and killing people. This song is no more suggestive of actual violence than any performance at the Metropolitan Opera.

LOL. It is funny the way the Germans were trying to keep pace with the dance moves...they hadn't been exposed much like, UK, France, US, etc. especially that guy @ 0:42 & again at 2:11. It's like putting a bunch of boozed up ants on one of those old vibrating tabletop football games is the only thing I can think of....worst looking rhythm ever...he's got nothing on Steve Martin in "The Jerk". I love this song too !! I think it was Cliffs best !! Actually Klaus Meier better known as Klaus Meine is born on 25th of May 1948, in Hannover Niedersachsen. I love this song, it remembers me from the changes I have made in my life recently. Hey, isn't that Conan O'Brien on drums? Oh, wait it's Chris Slade with hair. More young drummers ought to watch this and learn how to swing! Tom should've used The Senators more in the studio, this is very much like the best Johnny Kidd & The Pirates stuff. Look for the crazy Joe Meek produced version that was only released in the USA (on Tower). Way better than the UK Decca 45 and hellishly rare! Great B-side too. As close as his records ever came to this raging performance.

One of (if not THE) best versions of 'Mary's Boy Child' I have EVER heard. Two awesome singers, perfect sounds, and strong accompaniment for this one - what more could we expect from these two..... all together now (1 min in!)... (clap, clap) ... Hark ... Now Hear .... The angel Sing.... (you can just hear that beat, eh!) And clearly not just a song for christmas - this concert took place in the summer & wowed the audience! Those in Brussels in 2003 , I envy you! Thanks for posting!

What is so amzing about Ray Charles was the fact that his blindness never interfered with his love of music, and how he could play the piano, sing his songs, join in with another, just such a grand person, and believe me, he made Engelbert so happy when he joined in with the words of this song. It was a wonderful moment, and will always be one of my favorites. Thanks for posing.
