i actually thought that this was justified. i have used parallels on my 2.4ghz 2gb of ram macbook and whilst its incredible and very practical its actually so slow i wouldnt consider using it for any real applications. in coherence mode on xp, msn by itself gets both cores running around 80% and takes up 70% of my ram. i guess i just dont mind this video cos im looking into vmware-not wanting to hear how slow parallels is. take that as a word of warning everyone-parallels is dog slow.

first of all, you should change your vid title cause you dont talk about parallel at all second, all you talk about is vmware fusion, which is dumb. Quote from you, "Vmware fusion blows parallel out of the water" yet all the features you talked in vmware are capable in parallel, thus you have absolutely no knowledge in what you're talking about, along with no justification other than your biases opinion. this video is totally usesless in gaining insight as to which product to pick.

vista wont allow me to go to xp with the version of the computer i am using. because of the acer hardware back up i can't use a different version of microsoft or any outher of install i did get sabayon to work as a 2nd boot for a while. i am using a virtuale cd of sabayon now thanks to you chris and it's great.

about those wireless issues theyr talkin bout, there must be somthing wrong with the network. 2-6 minutes? im conected with vista faster than my mom's macbook is! ud think it would connect with the mac aster cause its a freakin airport! personally, i love vista BECAUSE I PUT IN THE TIME TO LEARN HOW TO USE IT! just take the time and it works great.

LOL well i sat through ur WHOLE video now my but sore but w/e. I bought a new computer with Amd processer x64, 3gb ram, 200gb hard drive and the only thing that sucks on it is the OS. I had it crash, freeze,lagg, and alot more. Vista doesnt suck.. just has so much negitives. I think Microsoft Launched Vista only because of one reason, MAC WAS COMMING OUT WITH OSX 10 or w/e. so microsoft lauched it so all those microsoft fans dont switch to MAC leading to microsoft losing customers XxKOLOHExX

I have one 22-inch. It seems to work perfectly because I change the shape of the windows to have many open at once and still everything. I also have Compiz on my Ubuntu machine so instead of clicking a thousand times like I had to on windows, I can just chage desktops and have different things open with one signle click.

[part 1/2] It doesn't work like that. With VMWare, you basically make a separate virtual computer with a virtual hard disk file. Everything will be installed in the hard disk file, your real system will not be affected. So, if you install XP on a virtual machine, your real operating system is not affected. XP sits within the virtual hard disk and VMWare mounts this hard disk, so you can use it as a virtual computer.

After install on the first booting after restart BSOD appeared (I was feeling distressing at this time) but tried the second restart and it works but on 16 colors and the Display properties appeared. I selected the previous settings (so the graphic card drivers without VM Additions support) and it restarted without rebooting by going again by BIOS (only system reload) and finally, it works for me again but now on Virtual PC 2007! Thanks for this very nice tip to VPC Guy - Ben Armstrong!

On my previous comment to this video I tried to install in MS Virtual PC 2007 the VM Additions to Windows 95 but cannot be installed. So I searched Google for a help and found a site "vpc(dot)essjae(dot)com". For those that do not know Director 8.5 came out rougly 4-5 years ago and was the first Adobe application to create online media with true 3d environments. An environment you could navigate through and truely interact with. This was hudge but they have done nothing with it untill now. They now have Acrobat 3d which CAD developers and 3 modellers can embedd their 3d objects into a PDF and allow users to rotate and see layers of the model. I am installing Ubuntu on a second machine as I type this and I'm getting I/O errors when the CD is load but I will persevere because once you get it going; issues such as viruses spyware and stability is almost irrelevant. I am in no way an expert but if I spend another months or so using Linux; I doubt I will use any Microsoft OS for anything other than gaming. I am sticking with Ubuntu mainly because of the support I can rely on.
