The idea was creative, but ended up limiting its own effect. I think the concept did the music a huge disservice. The song had no presence, which is bound to alienate fans (and the general audience). I don't blame the director. Really how could you accomplish those guidelines without getting in a car and filming at night? What were your options? This is just an awkward example of style before substance if you ask me, which is ironic since it was probably intended to be the opposite...
