More so, The prophets method of dawah was accustomed to the type of time he lived in. When i say its one of the best ways of dawah,theres obviously alot more context in it. Well saying that the prophet never gave dawah like this is ridiculous. The technology wasnt there,the oppurtunity wasnt there and people were not as they are today. The 7th century muslims were not like the muslims today. In order to give dawah to the youth,simple words will not work. You must reach the youth in an aspect they understand,ie: rap music. Yeah no worries man...we believe that Mary (known in the Quran as Mariam) is the mother of Jesus. She is mentioned by name in the Quran and there is a whole Surah named after her. We don't believe she is mother of god or is holy or anything, she is a human being, Allah chose her to give birth to a prophet even though she is a virgin. I hope that clears things up a little bit :)

This is taken out of context. The term 'apostates' in this context is referring to 'deserters'. For example, you are an American soldier and you are at war (as they were at the time the verse was revealed)you desert your country, the maximum penalty is death. True even today. To say the verse means somebody leaving Islam is to be killed is absurd, it contradicts the teachings of Islam completely. A persons decision is bewteen tem and God. The problem here is context.
