I love korean food. I am lucky to live in koreatown in L.A.. I can not wait to try this recipe. Koreans sometimes seem surprised to se a non korean in their supermarkets and are always happy to help me find what I need, even fellow customers.

Love your vids- thanks so much for taking some time off and sharing this with us :) I was wondering if vegetarians can omit the fish sauce. I'm pretty sure the fish sauce helps with the fermentation but yeah.. are there any vegetarian substitutes to the fish sauce? Thanks a bunch again. :) - Maya

yes, just skip the hot pepper flakes to make white kimchi (baek kimchi). All other ingredients are the same.

I'm using USA measurement. Yes, this kimchi and kkaktugi recipe is for 2 medium size napa cabbage (baechu) and 2 medium size radishes.
