My fear is that teh majority can strip rights from the minority. this is unacceptable. this will lead to fascism. That doesnt give u the right to deny the 14th Amendment to gays. The 14th Amendment guarantees equal protection of the law & was used to ban separate but equal. These are, well first of all , Brendan Frasier was too old to play the young man, cause he was suposed to be 17-18 when he met James Whale, and this young man whoever he is is perfect---however, James, this actor is too young , Mr whale was 85-90 when he started seeing young men in his studio---and this whale looks to me to be 45-50....all and all great show!

This made me take a look at the movie's information on a review site since I have never heard of it. I also began to notice with all the other movies it suggested...movies with a gay person as the main character seem to always be R...many even with gay people are rated R and a few where it kind of comes up are R with the occasional PG-13. It kind says something sad about how far gay people are still out of the light of normalcy...that they would be so commonly placed with drugs and violence

However, marriage, by the definition, as we ALL know, happens all the time. Well, you gotta mind this; a lot of movies you see nowadays seem very well acted, but try to inmagine how these people would behave in real life. In current movies, that doesn't make sense it all, often. Way to dramatic or heroic or whatever. I find this actually more realistic. Somtimes a little doubtfull seems more realistic to me.

For this film - and other recent fiction posts - I've used the Panasonic AG DVX100B. I've also been editing with Final Cut Pro version 5.1 something something. As far as prosumer products go (in my price range) I've found both to be extremely versatile. Now, if only I can get them to pay me to say that.

Although I like blocking(?) (black bar top and bottom for wide screen effect?) I liked your picture frame. Made for a more dramatic effect. Wouldn't have had the same effect against the white background (or page). Nothing against your high school friends but you are getting talented actors to 'star' in this. Very nice job Matthew. This dark farce features Nick Crosby, Kelly Gilks, Amanda Polley, and Mike Corbett. It was filmed in Maine in the weeks before I left for Los Angeles and is, essentially, the last project I'll have done with them for quite a while.

Actually, all the lighting in THIS movie is natural. Save for just a flashlight here or there, the oil lamps were actually lighting the interior at night, and the sun did the work during the day. The only professional bit of lighting "equipment" was Patience in waiting for it to look right.

I must jealously admit: Your videos are amoung the most technically accomplished of any productions I've found online. Very nice! Please do tell, what does your lighting consist of? Any specific bulbs or wattages that you've found to produce a particularly professional look? I just finally have the money (lower middle class upbringing no fun) to start hoarding equipment... You have a true eye for shot composition and the technical aspect of film making. I want to know what school you go to, and if they have a good video program, because although I love to make films, most of my movies are to rushed(High School deadlines), and with a lack of good equipment. We got extremely lucky, in that the location was free and a mere 10 minutes from campus. Also, a lot of the props were borrowed from family. This project probably cost us a couple hundred dollars where most thesis projects tend to run students upwards of tens of thousands. But that's one benefit of the "less is more" approach.

We basically trekked out into the New York woods at one o'clock in the morning to see how will the camera would record in just lamplight.
We're almost done with the sound design. The movie, itself will be out soon!
