hey there, i believe the string quartet are calle amiina and they have released an album, i'm yet to fully check it out but they seem to add a lot to the music of sigur ros, they were fantastic nevertheless.

jonnathr....i was there :-) Had you seen them before? Anybody who didn't catch them last time round missed out, cos they had a string quartet with them and ended on the same song (Track 8 of course!) and I've never seen anything so epic and beautiful!

Possibly one of the greatest videos of all time. Fits the song wonderfully, and really makes you feel. The way he pounded the drum before the charge, or just the different characters make you wish the video was longer/

We are using this song in the soundtrack for my school's fall production of Romeo and Juliet, and it ads SO much emotion to the scenes between the two of them its amazing. The scenes without the music are emotional, but with it, it brings me to tears every time.

actually it's a girl and a boy. i was curious as well and read a q and a with the director of the vid. its not the drummer boy, but a boy thatjust has long dogtown style hair.

I found out this last week. I used to think the girl kisses the drummer boy too.. Thats the intention.. to fake, and I dont know why. But pay atention, look at the hair of the blonde little girl who appears before, then look to the hair of the boy. Pay atention to the size, to the position. ACTUALLY two girls kisses each other( and Thats so cute!)

This song reminds me of how life is, there are valleys and there are mountain tops. We can't go at life alone. We all need to help each other. Although the ending just reiterates the fact that some people would rather fly off a cliff and some would rather do a cannon ball off of one.

I honestly think the girl was kissing the drummer boy. Normally that kind of stuff doesn't mean much to me, but this was so incredibly unpretentious and sweet.
