you miss out half a beat on the right hand when the main verse comes in (after the intro). It confusing! Bar (or Measure for the US) number 9 you're getting the right hand rhythm all wrong. Other than that you're brilliant. Excellent technique etc. Superb!

1:20-2:15 sounded amazing, the rest didn't seem to capture the song properly. It sounded too upbeat and lively for what should be a sad song. However, its obvious that your a piano god and you played it flawlessly. The sheet music seems to be at fault, which is odd considering its from Square-Enix themselves.

Actually a true muscian would use a metronome, saying you use one isn't saying you're a back seat driver or a cheater. The best of muscians use a metronome. Yo-Yo Ma does. And I HAVE posted a video, in fact I'm the first chair cellist. A metronome helps you keep the piece together, even though you use one won't neccissarly say you'll stay in time. It's just a reminder. And this guy did well.

You obviously have little to no musical background if you think saying that a person needs to use a metronome is back-seat driving. While he is a very good musician, any average musician can say that he clearly has very bad beat. It's not being picky, this is one of the least rude things you can say to a musician simply because it's true. Now for my comment: good job, you could work a bit on the timing, but you have a lot of potential. practice a bit and you'll perfect it.

No it's not. Playing piano is wholesome. And with constant practice, even a 32 yr old beginner can play this. So don't give up now okay? I was also enrolled on a piano lesson but since we don't have any more money, I studied on my own using my experiences, and fortunately I can also play this and Fisherman's Horizon as well (but only on keyboard but it's Piano Collections style)I'm only 14 yrs old so no wonder u can also do it much better than me! I recommend tortillions or paper stubs for shading... Kleenexes work well also. I use derwent graphic pencils.. there are others but The lead for this ones seem to work well.. i believe it goes from 9b to 2h.

Just a word of advice when playing the piano, never hunch your shoulders. Thats one of the worst things you can do becuase it ruins the sound of the piece harmonically and it look rather ridiculous.

Agree mate, the biggest problem with almost every version of this is people try and play it too fast!!Yeah its got a bit of a jog on but its not meant to be played at lightspeed! crotchet=138 is what's written on the sheet so stick to that mate! The broken chords at the start make it all sound jumbled up so play them straight and slow down! Do that and it'll sound mint, n you'll find it'll be a hell of a lot easier for you too!

Why are you spreading the chords in the left hand in the into? It really doesn't say that in the sheet music and that's what's making the intro sound like shit. Where is the legato in the section from bar 31 onwards? Overall it just feels really quite sloppy, why not try slowing down, it feels so rushed!

It is located in the game (The recognizable descending beautiful part) But the arrangment (well many arrangements from ffx) are quite distant to the actual themes. Unlike ff6-9... 10 is a bit more abstract. Reason why it's not my favorite PC book.

Like you said, it may or may not be an improvment. But, personally I like the clearer sound of this recording. Its been so long since I played through the start of FFX, since i've just re-completed it... which sucks. Alot. It's still a very nice piece and one that I would love to learn but unfortunately I just dont have the time at the moment. :( Two last words: Well Played :P

I kind of hate the mistakes i made in this recording... but oh well... it isnt bad after not playing piano for a a week or so... so i am pretty satsified with it... well... if you have the majorit of the notes,... in a month it should flow better of course u have to work at it thoguh :]
