testing the bike on alky, turns out the belt was slipping. a bit of oil got on the belt and I didn't notice until I was out testing. Still the bike ran good. I will clean everything up and try again.

We got their attenttion at Race 4 of Four Stroke Wars in Glamis.. We broke 70mph up olds hill. We even beat the bike that became KOTH in one race but he got us on the second.. we need much more swingarm.. :)

gasoline has way higher BTU than nitro methane as well... :) The added horsepower comes from the fact you have to use so much more alky to run. The BTU is lower but because you have to use so much the net BTU is actually higher. For example with nitro methane you run so much fuel you almost hydrolock the cylinders.

Yea there is a HUGE difference in what these will read at the crank versus the wheels. Really unless you ran a chain straight off the 2ndary shaft there is no way to make up for it. If you ran off the 2ndary shaft the bike would always be in gear... blip the throttle and it would take off. even starting the bike would be dangerous. But it's so much fun making one of these fat tanks into a fast bike, you beat all these guys and they are just left scratching their heads. :)

hey ive read other comments but got some questions- if your putting out 150 by the crank and aprox 100 at the wheels could you mod your trany to try and get more power to the ground/ i have never seen a drag quad that still looks that cool/stock kfx's are kinda ugly but i cant get over the look of yours/ and are u crazy a blower on a quad- youve got balls- man ull be putting banshees in the dust every where- if your ever in ontario message me - if u had the idea for that your the man 5 stars!!

Next time you go to their shop, tell them the KFX guys are going to get'em. 135 to the wheels isn't going to cut it come next season.. :) To answer your question, the idea for this bike is mine, all the research and tuning, building and so forth. I wanted a supercharged because I just like those better. The sound and the look.

Why did you choose a kfx700 and why a supercharger? How long have you been building this? Is this an original idea or is there something else out there like this? You vs K & T and you'll never win. I was in K & T's chop last week and was talking to Kim, they were building a raptor 700 that was putting 135 HP at the wheels without the NOS that was equipped on it. I give you mad props for building this yourself though. Quite a marvelous machine. You should be proud :)

One of the single cylinder THUMPERS just hit a record of 89 mph UP the giant HILL! (THESE ARE SINGLE CYL THUMPERS). So if you think these are common fourstrokes your sadly mistaken, youll get smoked. Most have between 15,000-$25,000 in them. 130hp on the nos DS730 and some of the rappy 700s are down to 300lb 95 hp on motor. Thats your schooling for the day! Your banshee stock is 28-30 hp. Entierly different setup. Turbos make gradual power as superchargers are right now so there isn't as much stress on the motor. Any motor can be built to handle alot of forced induction. Top fuels have to be built to strict guidelines.

well the kfx is an auto, it would be almost impossible within reason to convert it. Thei engine is very durable.. we were running 22psi in 90 degree weather in glamis up olds hill at fourstroke wars over the weekend... the engine ran without a single problem. Very few engines could handle that kind of power adder in that heat..

I'm no expert on hairdryers but i believe if your boost gets too high you should rig a overflow valve so that once your blower reaches a certain level of boost that level in maintained end the excess is dumped. Sick quad though.

I dunno about the speed... this video was made during a boost test. I was just seeing how much boost it would make at what throttle setting. With that pulley it made too much boost at as little as a quarter throttle. That's why I went with a lrger blower pulley. When I rebuild the motor, I can put that pulley back on.

grudegeplease, OK, We were testing new things and went back to race gas on that video. There's new video out with more recent testing and we ran 10.70 on defaulty parts. Changed the parts out for the next night and went 2 10.60s at 118 & 119 mph. The 3rd runs was faster, but I'm keeping that in my back pocket. So, you can take your not "impressive" and shove it. it was dynoed by hansen performance but in my opinion and the opinion of serveral others... it just wasn't set up to properly dyno a bike with a CVT transmission so it only read 50 ft pounds.. Not hansens fault, I don't think they dyno CVTs often...

I just bought the supercharged and adapted everything myself... this charger would work the same on any engine, the trick is you have to make it work. Putting a pulley on the crankshaft is the hardest part.

Ok folks. The gun says 93mph. I don't doubt it one bit. I have a bone stock 07 Predator. I ran it down a road that runs beside the interstate. the cars are all running 70+, and I can pull away from them with my wife on the back.
