Twice the passer Troy Smith was? Ehh..maybe he has a stronger arm, but I think you're giving Troy a raw deal. I was watching him on ESPN Classic today and he actually has a pretty strong arm and was a great passer. Secondly...we do NOT throw the ball 20x a game, what games have you been watching lately? He has had 20+ pass attempts once this season. He's thrown 15+ in 3 total games. Our play calling has been so conservative and predictable lately.
By: TheDiff10. on 22 Nov 08, 00:17:20
what are they now 3-8?? yeah.. Go Blue. fail.
By: smohan123. on 20 Nov 08, 02:58:40
he lives in my building. i've seen him around a few times, and while i respect his presence on the field, i think he is a bit aloof off the field. i guess having an "attitude" is an unavoidable side-effect of being a great football player, though.
By: cyrizzle87. on 19 Nov 08, 13:03:41
my bad im not really like that i just got caught up in the fact that he gets all this attention and hes still so cocky. but it takes a real stuck up person to not even shake someones hand. i really do not hope he breaks his neck or even arm, and i wish luck to him but it will not be so easy for him vs psu next year. that same d line that held beanie and him to under 100 yds rushing combined is basically all back + s.lee so well c. good luck to osu and pryor tho he just needs to show some class
By: yankeewannab3. on 19 Nov 08, 05:39:55
so this stuff that he's not going to become an efficient, pocket passer just is not gonna be the case. like i said before, hes already twice the passer troy smith was with more speed than vince young and the athletic ability of mike vick in a 6'6 body. he will turn into a great pocket passer and still be able to create with his legs. just watch maybe the most natural athlete and hardest worker in the country, let alone the big ten. p.s. we throw 20x game so just let him get used to it it'll come
By: DontBlameThePianist. on 19 Nov 08, 05:09:20
It takes a real piece of crap to wish somebody gets hurt that badly...over what, sports? Get some class, pal. I understand you're mad that Penn State lost to an unranked team and won't get that national title, but your senior quarterback got shown up by a freshman. OSU is gonna shed some havoc your way for as long as Pryor is there. But wishing somebody break their neck is beyond sports. Least OSU doesn't lose to unranked teams. They lost to the number 1 and 3 team. No shame in that. Iowa.
By: cyrizzle87. on 19 Nov 08, 03:37:56
haha yea he stepped up alright by fumbling and throwing the game clinching int vs psu.. also he showed the world how good of a sport he was by hanging his head and not shaking anyones hand from psu.. i used to hope he would break his arm but i change that.. i hope he breaks his neck!!!

dam he mainly runs it but he qb but i like cody pauls #5 better
By: upinthemgutz27. on 16 Nov 08, 03:30:52
Your obviously a Ohio State hater, and nothing else. Be jealous you don't have him. ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah
By: upinthemgutz27. on 16 Nov 08, 03:29:53
but when you have the best running back in the country, why would we throw the ball 28 times? He could do that if we needed him to though.
By: DontBlameThePianist. on 15 Nov 08, 21:20:50
Well I guess you'll find out the hard way in one week that you're quite wrong.
By: azmah3839. on 15 Nov 08, 16:10:13
im not saying he's bad but those runs are only cause of his blocks and some of those passes were amazing but for most you would have to give credit to the reciver i say sam mcguffie is a much better football player
By: RollinStones31. on 12 Nov 08, 01:39:18
He is an incredibly competent passer. Yes, he under-threw balls that should have gone for big yards but that kind of timing comes from working hard with all his receivers and developing his arm as a college quarterback. He has amazing arm strength and has an illustrious career ahead of him at Ohio State.
By: osubucksfan228. on 11 Nov 08, 22:01:42
What are you talking about. Terrelle Pryor to this point has prooved himself as a passer. In his first career start, he set the freshman record for TDs in a game and in a season with four and against PSU he stepped up and set his career high passing yds with 226, besides Mike Vick and VY suck at passing. He is certainly a better QB than Boeckman.
By: BigBoy1044. on 11 Nov 08, 17:24:58
I said "so far" he's been a disappointment. I think that's a fair statement. I didn't say his whole college career will be a disappointment after watching him for 7 games. I've seen a lot of poorly thrown balls from him and I don't see the potential in him of becoming a polished efficient passer. Like I said before, I see him heading in that same road as the VY, Vick type QB's that were great athletes but couldn't develop into efficient passers.
By: JEyadig. on 11 Nov 08, 04:38:16
GO BUCKS!!
By: DontBlameThePianist. on 11 Nov 08, 00:00:39
Well to label him as a disappointment is pretty blind considering the fact that he's played 7 games and progressed a huge amount. You must have been expecting him to come in and be like Tom Brady. Ohio State is not a passing team. They run Beanie 2/3 plays. Terrelle doesn't get to throw much, so you can't say he's a bad passer because he doesn't get the chances...but when he does, he throws the ball well. He's playing the most difficult position in football. Quite well, imo.
By: BigBoy1044. on 10 Nov 08, 23:35:58
Quarterbacks will have good days and until I see him have a consistent stretch of good games, it's really hard to not label him a disappointment so far. For the #1 high school prospect to play the way he has and with the amount of talent he has around him, a lot more is expected from him. Pryor hasn't shown me much except for flashes like in the Northwestern game. And again I saw him anticipating taking off on the run instead of sitting on the pocket and finding his secondary options.
By: BigBoy1044. on 10 Nov 08, 23:33:02
I just watched the highlight package. I saw 3 nice throw out of the 9 completions. I have to give him credit for those 2 downfield throws which were right on the money, particularly the one where he was on the run and threw it down the sideline perfectly for the WR. Other than that, it wasn't all that impressive. And I can't help but remind you that he only threw the ball 14 times and had 9 completions. If he went 20-28 and 250 yeards, I wouldn't be having this conversation with you.
By: DontBlameThePianist. on 10 Nov 08, 23:22:12
type in "terrelle pryor northwestern" and watch the videos. I'm not gonna try to convince you anymore. For the record, Terrelle is better than VY and Vick at passing. The correct person to compare Terrelle to is Donovan McNabb, not Vince Young.
By: BigBoy1044. on 10 Nov 08, 23:02:52
I saw a couple of highlights of the game, but only Pryor highlight they showed was the one where he broke a couple of tackles and threw one in the end zone. Impressive? Ya, but still don't see the "breakout game". Again, he threw 9 complete passes. Let me repeat, 9 complete passes. When your QB throws 9 complete passes and you win by a large margin, then that means the running attack must of had a bigger impact on the game. Therefore, Pryor didn't exactly have a "breakout game"
By: BigBoy1044. on 10 Nov 08, 22:59:23
LMAO. The guy can't pass at the college level, you actually think he's going to be a successful NFL QB. LOL. I can only scoff at that. At least VY and Vick were decent passers in college, but look what they did at the NFL level. Both never developed into quality NFL passers and one of them is currently in jail, the other lost his job and is sitting on the bench. Pryor hasn't shown one bit of decent passing ability. Ya sure he has time to develop, but he is far from it as of this moment.
