give props where they are do, here is a regular humble man who earned his chance and sounds great. For someone who did not goto school for formal training and can sing better than most of the cows that do opera. This guy has earned it, and I am glad I can listen to him sing.

It is an insult to Pavarotti's memory to even suggest that this guy will become the "new Pavarotti" At 26,and only with 4 years of training Pavarotti had evrything,including the most beautiful volor ever heard. If he is lucky he might become adecent dinger,nothing else.

Jeez come on.. all those of you comparing him to Pavarotti.. grow up.. hes nowhere near.. not yet at least. Once Paul has been at this for 20+ years we can look back and talk about that comparison. Then again: as far as some regular ears go, i do think the guy's voice is pretty much near perfect. Sure if you do singing for a living, then you might be able to point out some flaws in his technique. But 99.9% of the listeners will not notice that and even less will actually care.

he may not have the breathing, legato or phrasing perfect but it is a gd performance. and thats the point of the show, he has had absolutely no vocal training before he went up for that show. you can see that by the fact that he still needs a mic to sing. he was a nobody and now he is somebody that's what the show is all about. he has a voice I'm positive that in a few yrs to come he will be the new Pavarotti. wait and see

doh... Paul is not anymore, maybe the opera elite who don't accept that cannot sing opera unless you have been through the conservatories like just about all did, but in Germany he sang to quarter million total screaming encore. Paul hit high Cs everytime and now his voice is not amatuer like when he sang here, and I think incredible when amatuer.

this guy makes classical singing/opera a joke, that's not the way how to sing it, listen carefully, the breathing/phrasing sucks, OMgosh! He sings so stressfully. Classical singing should always be relaxed not this kinda way. he needs to practice more although he has a potential to become a classical tenor singer after some time. This clip is an opportunity for real classical singers not to sound this way. Just my opinion so respect it! Peace yo'all!

Official news from Leona's official site Leona is set to release her brand new single, 'Bleeding Love' on 29th October. The track was written by Ryan Tedder and was recorded while Leona was out in LA. Ryan has also written for pop superstars Jennifer Lopez and Lil' Jon. Leona's as yet untitled album will be released on the 5th November in the UK and early 2008 in the US.

Guys this is lipped. Leona rocks! But this is definetely lipped. But GMTV dont make her lip it, just she probably chose to or was advised to because she suffers from chronic tonsilitis where she gets tonsilitis when shes stressed. so they probably thought it best to save her voice for big events and other countries, coz lets face it, we all know she can sing in the UK, but other countries dont so she needs to use her voice for them. We know she is awesome. :) well done leona, your fab!

Thank you X Factor - Leons fans have been listening to Leona's Live Lounge version of this song for about 10 months now and raving about it. Finally, someone has listened and decided to get her to sing it again on TV. Now everyone can see how extraordinarily brilliant she is. GOOSEBUMPS. Makes you proud to be British. All I would suggest to those who haven't heard the Live Lounge version, go look for it on You Tube now - you may not believe it, but it is even better than this.

umm... i think it´s true that she is miming... the high notes. when she does the last high note "I keeeeeeeep" her mouth stops but still can hear the voice... But it´s fine, she needs some rest for her voice too, I have seen many of her lives and it´s even better than the playback. Go leona !!! :D

I don't think she is lipsyncing, she has sung this song sooooo many times live before that she could sing it in her sleep! There is only one little tiny bit that could maybe make me think she might be miming but the video isn't the best quality. And if she is lipsyncing it's the best miming that i've ever seen!! Can't deny how fab that voice is!

Leona also doesn't NEED the backing track, I heard her live on the X Factor tour and she's more than capable of singing whatever she wants, the track just enhances her voice and makes the whole song sound even better - otherwise the performance may have been quite dull. So before spouting off (probably over jealousy) about the fact that Leona is 'lip syncing' or 'miming' consider if you will, whether she REALLY is.

I really wish people would consider what they are typing before replying. Leona was not miming, it sounds nothing like the album version. If you pick up on words like 'frozen' and 'crazy' she changes them slightly when its live - I suppose you can't get them the same each time. So all her live performances have a different slant on different words - listening to a live performance alongside a recorded version will confirm this.
