no, deluxe just comes with an expansion pack or two. I think Nightlife. It MIGHT be a better deal then getting the Base game and the ex-pack, but be sure your computer has enough memory.

your computer is either old, has an old windows software like 2000 or u probably don't have enough memory...try deleting a few things that take alot of memory and then restart ur computer...my computer is an XP and it had the same problem but wen i deleted a few things it went faster. hope that helps.

This game had sooo much potenial, I think they got half way through making it and just couldnt think of anything else to put into the game, so they just boxed it up and shipped it out.although the graphics are cool you really need a high end market pc too run it really well, i meet the system specs, and when the city starts too kick off it really does lag a little, The people who have brought the game and are unable to play casue of their pc crashing all the time are not missing out on much

I just bought it for $30 after buying the Holiday Stuff Pack, Bon Voyage, Free Time, then Seasons. Open for Business is, I admit, hard to play. Sometimes it's maybe boring, and I wonder if I made a mistake on buying it(it was either between the Pets or this). But I guess I will just play and find out. Hopefully it will be more exciting than it turns out (though the new carpets and wallpapers are great!)

no. The Sims 2 isn't gone... The Sims 2 Life Stories is another game, you don't need The sims 2 to play this one. If you have an expansion pack of The Sims 2 - say Nightlife - and you put that in, it will still be Nightlife. The Sims 2 Life Stories will have nothing to do with it.

It's pretty much the same when you play Free Play. But if you're playing in Riley's Story or Vince's Story you have to fulfill their wants and goals to move on. It's really fun, actually. I play in constantly I've beat Vince's story and am now finishing up Riley's. The only bad thing, once you install this, the Sims2 is gone... =[
