Even as the broken, emaciated corpse was crawling its way slowly towards our heroine, I just wasn't that scared. Forgive me for my lack of respectful fear, and I doubt that it's the movie that makes it not scary for me. I think that the real trick to dealing with fear in horror movies is to simply look directly at the horror and see it for what it is. In this case, the broken body and spirit of a woman who was brutally murdered looking for vengeance.

In the remakes they spend too much time screaming and crying, in the original's the victims of Kayako n the curse act with brains, they are more realistic, they don't just run like little bitches lol In Ju-On: The Grudge, the acting is sooo much more interesting and intelligent, most Americans don't understand the Japanese version which is why they insult it.

i disagree with the comment about the music being over used that it makes it comical, back int he 60's this wasnt over used. Even today your normal joe bloggs on the street probably never heard of this classical overture. to me, it was the most perfect peice of music that could of been used to describe how vast and amazing the universe was or is! we are just used to more drama nowadays cos we live in a technologically more advanced world! Heh, I was wondering how you were going to handle the alternate angles the trailer used that weren't in the film. The crane pose is from the opposite side, for instance. Yes, the trailer is KICK ASS exciting, but they'd never get away with some of the voiceover's lines now: "...discovered the man within the boy...discovers the man within himself". Too much room for entendres. KK II is starting to get a fair amount of airplay on AMC. Caught it at least 4 or 5 times the last two months.
