Same here but I think it was Sunday nights no? My grandmother got such joy from this show and I loved her - so I just sat down, watched it with her and smiled. I was into Zep/Sabbath/Cooper at the time so it was VERY difficult to keep up appearances ! Something about the decency of that generation was appealing though even though I knew it was long over.

Put 'Sweet Jesus' in it and the Drug reference is forgiven you are correct about that. I heard this on the radio in Cali this spring and brought back memories. Most not so pleasant. We all know why Lawrence was in favor of this song on his show. It's well known that he refused to allow rock on his show but obviously he didn't have a problem with a toke.
