My uncle had a 62 that he bought new. The back seat was like a rap around lounge sofa. The drivers compartment was indeed as you say like a airplane cockpit. At the time as a kid I thought it to very very kool. But I must say my all time favorite Tbird is the 66 Landau decked out with factory skirts.

This is one of the best videos I've seen on YouTube, for two reasons: first, this '63 T-Bird Roadster is the finest that I have ever seen anywhere, bar none. Second? The owner of the car is not only highly knowledgeable about his car and knows what he's talking about, he presents the car in a professional manner that could have come right out of Dearborn Michigan from Ford Motor Company itself. My buddy John bought a 63 Bird just like this one and he bought it for $250 in '66. It had the roadster cover and all. But does this one have the real wire wheels or just the wire wheel covers. They were a real pain to keep clean through the Wisconsin (Milwaukee) winters cause they were the real wire wheels. I remember it well. I was driving a 62 Bonneville convertible that also cost $250. Then I ended up the USMC and by the time I got back to the world we had all big time muscle cars.

The "house" itself is now an expensive hotel called Ettington Park in Stratford-Upon-Avon in the U.K. countryside. We paid $600 to stay there for one night and someone...some thing...kept us up all night upstairs with a vacuum cleaner. It was most unprofessional, but still memorable. If you're in the area it's worth a stop and see, but I wouldn't recommend Ettington Park as a hotel. Not unless the front desk had said there was no upstairs...and no vacuum. It is supposed to be haunted.

I remember being little my mother was a buyer for Mccurdy's. We always came up the exculator into the little wegmans and went through the secret door in the shoe shop to get to her office. I remember Magic mountain and the monorail and looking at the fountain while eating a doughnut. I had no idea what in important roll that mall played in urban developments everywhere until i recently did research on it. Even here in Nova Scotia Canada we have a down town mall based on the concept of this one.

I went to go see our Clock of Nations on Saturday. While I was at the Greater Rochester International Airport, I spotted several restoration flaws. Israel´s puppet station shakes for at least 30 seconds after its door closes. In Canada´s puppet station, the horse no longer gallops. There was one point where it did not move at all. Scotland´s puppet station is partly exposed near where the bottom covering screws on. It is like they did not care about how each one went on. Continued...

There's this part on Eric Clapton's autobiography where he says he used to go to Beatles' concerts and that he felt bad for them because the people watching their shows used to scream during all of their songs, which made it quite difficult for true music lovers to listen to the songs. I think the demo was in the late 60s or very early 70s. I know I saw a tape of it back in '73. I read Sutherland's thesis, which described a lot of Sketchpad's internals. The internal architecture was instance oriented. He called it "hens and chicks". If you changed the master, all the instances changed. The constraint balancing stuff used RMS minimization, so it was unstable, but it worked for a lot of physics. All told, it was much more shophisticated that a lot of stuff on the market today.

@twoslices There are a lot of great surf bands which are continuing that legacy. You have to dig around indie stations, Last.FM, Myspace and here to find them. Three of the guys from Midnight Oil and one from the Violent Femmes just started an instrumental surf band called The Break.
