I agree. Maybe the target audience is not "old enough" to have seen the hijacked Ethiopian airliner crash into the sea off a beach in Comoros, which was filmed on a handycam by a tourist. Even the direction of travel is the same. I "get" that it's funny, and good CG, but I was a bit dumbfounded by it. I was starting to wonder if "X-travel" is real... It certainly caught the attention so maybe this is just good marketing.

I think it was the F/O flying because the yolks move together and you can't see the captain's hands, and since the F/O is controlling the throttles, it's likely that he's flying as well.

Yep thats bull. In certain daylight conditions and directions a cockpit can be dark and require panel lights. Its a real landing, especially when they pull up at the gate and there is all sorts of busyness going on outside like random traffic (white van at 2mins for instance).

This is a simulator. I have flown many different full-motion, level d simulators, all the way from the 20 series learjets to the C-5 galaxy sim. This is obvious because the cockpit is light as if it is dark out even though the visuals show daytime. This is classic in every full-motion sim, as there is no other way to light the instrument panel because there is no natural light in a simulator!

I know this is the NG, but here's an interesting note on the 737-300 sim at Alteon. The cockpit is taken from the Aloha Airlines 737 that had the ruptured hull and experienced the rapid decompression some years ago. I had the great pleasure of (unofficially)rolling that sim after being given the nod by a nice chap.He wasn't prepared for the second roll, but it managed that too-but had to watch out for the pitch down!

I am Impressed. The Boeing 737-700 is truly a Great jetliner. I first flew on the -700 in 2005. it was a Southwest Airlines 737-700 from mt Hometown of Columbus Ohio to St Louis. The flight was smooth as silk and the takeoff was aweeeesome

Hi. You can still train to become a commercial pilot without 20/20 vision as long as you don't suffer from abnormalities such as colour blindness. It's only in the airforce (any country's) where you won't get through selection. Hope that helps. Chris

it is not with a Microsoft simulator. Thats because, FS has lots of inaccurasies, such as not detailed airports and default terrain mesh. In the real simulator, all this stuff have to be as they are in real life. (Correct mountain Hights, Correct runways and taxiways etc.)

this doesnt have hydraulics, its not a real simulator for training. The frame rate is terrible too. The whole thing is shot just because its like 6 fps. There are vids of airline flight sims and those are the real thing.

what makes you think its not an 400? Please you don't understand nothing about aviation...the cockpit of the old generation (300, 400 and 500) is the same for all versions with some minor changes such as the possibility for an extra fuel tank gauge in the 400. The rest is the same.

Youre not a real pilot, man i hate people who start acting like there real pilots, grow up, get a life ffs. For a start the FMC doesent tell you when to retract flaps, its done by the passing speed, Flaps are used to enable more life at lower airspeeds. Who do you fly the A319 and A320 for ?? As im a die hard Airbus A32X fan, i'll like to hear back from you. The A32X dont have FMC's, They have FMGS ( flight management and guidence system) Jeeeeze get a life youre no pilot

thanks!!! as a airline pilot myself on real planes i normally fly the A319/20 on a charter airline for the purpose of flight sim, do the following it would look even more real 1. strobes and landing lights on threshold once ATC given clearance. 2. taxi lights upto rnwy, on most 737, Airbus, most VS are on 2500-2700 upto 6000ft then withdraw flap to MPC/FMC loadings this will level you out to the climb out to gain next altitude level all this depends on weather wind and load and ATC instruction

great flight sim video,, but you dont put landing lights on or stropes till you get to the runway threshold... also your VS take off is too low... your landing and app is great. you need to set your speed break so the reverse thrust and spoilers arm automatically.

All landing aren't done automatic. Your correct in that this was a CAT III approach, probably A or B. Depending on the visibility most aircraft fly manually with ILS and glideslope to follow. Automatic landing are only perfomed when the RVR is at unreasonable limits hence the catergories.

thanks, I see that this is not a car... if you look at the second landing it was an ILS CAT III (full autoland) landing. Then look at the center line, it is aproaching to the left (at the end of the video). When I land with ILS CAT III the aircraft does not all the time land on the center line. Try to land with some crosswind up to 15 kts and you will see the aircraft will not land onto the centerline...

Hey man, good flying. Tip: use more flaps, it looks like you use only flaps 1 or 2 try using flaps 15 for takeoff. Its what you would use unless you are very light or heavy.

Not only is this physically impossible (it couldn't slow down that quickly, not to mention in one piece), but there are also errors in it: -It has the fuselage and engine nacelles of a B737 -Engines don't sound anything like CFM56s (only engines for 737 family) -The door they exit thru is that of a B747 (the handle is vertical like on a 747, not the horizontal handle of a 737) (:
