I've been there. I was convinced I would be bald by 25, and it didn't happen so I felt relieved. But it's not that fast, it's slow and insidious.

two factors i think affect the reason why my hair is healthy.1) I clean it every single day (eg i shower every day). 2) Being that I ive in Japan I eat mostly asian food.I swear there's something in it, I was thinning out- moved to Japan, *boom* 3 months later thick hair again. Most of my foreign buddies over here have healthy hairlines too so, go figure. It's all in the food you eat, dudes. I have also used to jap product Re-Up from time to time but it's the cleaning that really works IMO.

i dont mean it so much like that. i mean having a healthy diet would overall slow down the process, and from self experience, i know that stress can lose your hair, im only 18, and last summer as i was very stressed out all the time, and i started losing hair really fast round the temples, i know that round my age your hairline matures anyway, but i mean it went quite deep past the temples, and then after summer when i was more relaxed it came back, i have a lot more hair now than last summer

@Jukukiwaiyi2 I find it funny how people say eat healthy and drink water and stress makes you bald. These are such misleading comments, They infer that bald people are unhealthy, and the fact is a man who is balding with androgenetic alopecia can't stop it without changing his hormone levels. Meds can work but most men don't want to mess with their androgenic hormone levels (DHT) Just Shave it mate and be done with it..

Shampoo doesn't make you bald; this explains why people who use shampoo all the time do not go bald, like some of my friends. Baldness is either hereditary, or caused by inbalance, or by aromatase testosterone conversion or disease, etc.

lol! I'm not looking forward to when i start balding :P but hey there's loads of alternatives! If you can't stand going bald, there's medicines you can take, or you there's a number of different surgical methods... but try to prevent it! don't get stressed, eat healthily, DRINK LOADS OF WATER, and ofc... if you don't mind being normal/fitting in with nature... just accept it ^^ (to everyone not just dave)

@DaveCoNz Balding really does suck. Let's hope the stem cell hair cloning technique comes out soon. Maybe there is hope after all. Btw, have you considered hair transplants? I've seen some great results with the FUE technique.

Believe it or not, but you are starting to get old around that age. The absolute worst thing for a man to do is try and hide a receding hairline or bald patches. No matter what you think...it is noticeble. But baldness isn't as unattractive to women as you might think. If you have at least an attractive face than you have nothing to worry about. What is a turn-off is men who try and hide their baldness. It says so money things about your personality (vanity, insecurity etc). Don't hide it.

It sucks at any age and 30-40 is not old. Going bald makes you look worse but if you like looking worse good for you. I'd rather be one of those lucky bastards who never goes bald.(which isn' t happening for me).

I'm 18 years old, I have had a thinning hair line at the temples ever since I was a young teen, And my hair in general is thinning. I have embraced becoming bald, My friends tease me about it, But there is nothing wrong with being bald. And I agree, Middle aged men over 40 shouldn't complain about it.

I think it is about 55% of men are bald/balding at 40. So hardly an unusual phenomena. In my dept at work the guys range from 25 to 50 and most are balding. The guy in the video is doing it for a laugh. If he was that sensitive about it he would'nt have made the video.
