we also cannot deny that many Hindus, Sikhs, Muslims and Christians are making progress in India. Its a different story that when a minority person makes it to a big position, some ppl from their religious grp calls them a sell out. E.g. many Sikhs (not everyone) outside India will praise Bhindranwale, but call Manmohan Singh a sell-out. (Manmohan is an intellectual, not a sell-out). Gen. Yeah the movie is not accepted worldwide, but still yaar there are thousands of good movies who have not been accepted. The film definately doesn't lack depth. and bollywood films are definately now becoming more authentic and convincing. One can't make a perfect movie which will include every aspect and be all around perfect. A film has to concentrate on a particular genre which is the reason the typical punjabi is shown......

Amir's chanting 'bruuuuuuuuua' and 'chak de phatte' or some other slang every 10 seconds is annoying and completely unauthentic to Punjabiyat. His accent is neither Hindi nor Punjabi, some strange conglomerate. For a Punjabi, his acting is so off tune with real Punjabis. The acting was weird. I would think they would have someone from the region guiding him to give more weight to his character. The movie itself wasn't bad, but not as good as it was hyped up to be.

To put it bluntly, If in three years you havn't scene the parallels between hinduism and sikhism then you had made your conclusions before you made assertions and you 'studied' only to find facts supporting those conclusions. I will not go into describing how hindusism and sikhism are alike because many sikhs believe otherwise and i do not want to disrespect them. No there not. I've spent the past three years studying both and they are totally different. Hinduism has a different Philosophical idea on all levels to the Sikh understanding to life & god.

i remb goin 2 golden temple...such a beautiful place...i must admit that it is one of the most beautiful and well maintained temples of india..and the prasaad there is the best i hv evr eaten till date....i also attended the langar..the temple is surely 1 of its kind....

Golden temple - been there like 5 years before. such amazing peace i found there. peace and punjabis isnt that itself is amazing! I insist on every one in india or planning to go to india this is one place one cannot miss to see. The experiance one can find is most satisfying to soul than any other place in india

The Punjab government has withdrawn permission for the Rang de Basanti liquor brand launched by a prominent liquor company. The state excise department, expressed regret and took this step after strong objections from all over Punjab and outside.
