Cracking game, wasted hours of my life drinking copious amounts of beer playing it in to the wee hours of the morning......very addictive. Outstanding online play massive scale battles 32 per side, loads of different game modes and maps. Would also recommend Northern Assault (the add on pack).

ohh hell yeah i was was! lol jk i just started playing bf2 over the past summer! even tho it came out in like ....2005 :p but i still think battlefield is big. i don't know if its bigger than halo but bf2 has been out for a while. if you search for servers tehre are atleast 600+ populated servers, which is why i lvoe it so much. one great thing about bf2 are is graphics. for a game made in 2005, it got some good graphics. and bf has many many mods.

cod4 and bad company are two different games. in bad company, you see tanks, helicopters machine gun turrets everywhere and it feels like a total battlefield. call of duty, is more like 1 squad of marines vs some terriosts.i like both games really well. i've played bad company more then cod4, and i am a god in bad company and awesome in cod4 but not as good as in bc so imho battlefield wins.

This game is fun, simple, and short enough to beat over the weekend. Also, whenever you die, which is often, you instantly respawn without losing any progress. Add a couple of buddies to the mix, and you have yourself one excellent drinking game! Drink twice if you die in a vehicle!

I have to say one thing in Troy's favor: It was a Hollywood "ancient world epic" done in the old-school style. You know. Ten thousand extras in painted rubber prop armor thrashing around in a huge field. Did you see Sparticus or any of those other movies of the style? I loved them, and scenes like the beach landing really brought that back, if only on a minor scale. The fights were actually bad in the Homeric sense, there's no humanity and the fights aren't settled in one hit, (cont)

Thanks for posting this. I remember how often they played this on MTV back when MTV actually played real music videos. This along with Michael Jackson, The Police, The Cars, Eurythmics, Lionel Richie, and Van Halen were played almost non stop. I miss Martha Quinn, Nina Blackwood, and all the other original VJs. You can play online without a valid cd key on several servers, Euro players for example get IP from bf.clanbase . ru to play on 64 player server which is most of the time full (normal). Update BF to 1.61 and use pbsetup 2.3 to update Punkbuster. Graphics are good as long as you enable AA and AF from graphic card drivers for this game separetely. Google "widescreen battlefield 1942" to get custom resolutions working. Still best online shooter ever made, and plenty of players still playing it.

I'm not impressed with it in BF2. As far as the real world, maybee diferent. In the "game" the chalenger had no barel stability while moving and the moving was far from nimble. Sorry mate.
