lol I just have to be a total gamer and geek to say this but The BFG 9000 has target detection technology to differ targets from friend and foe! it was in one of the video disks in D3 but yet every time I cheated for one and used it in mars city I killed every one around me, they must all be my foes!

it should be a big green ball, but make it fade to white either in the center or at the edges. now haing it stay a constant circle or having shoot like it did in the doom movie would work fine either way. for splash damage, maybe a bit of delay, and have the enemies quickly turn green and decy or just die.

Thanks, I made the video with Movie Maker, I recorded the DOS one from the video recorded included in DOSBox, the SNES one I recorded it from a weird "MP4 player" that has Line-in recording, it records the sound like shit, but image is quite well.

SNES Doom can be run on a SNES Emulator, name wise I don't know since there is too many of them. And Collector's Edition can run on nearly any operation system without needing DosBox to play on(dunno about Vista), unless you're wanting to playing the original shareware version.

yeah, it was a really cool version, I had my SNES still since I was a kid, the AC adapter doesn't work properly but you can make it work with effort, and I paid a lot for a Doom cartridge, SNES stuff like that one is becoming collector stuff because there's no many people who have them today, it's old and many persons played with it and screwed it up, gifted it, sold it, etc. so today finding stuff like SNES Doom and SNES Wolf3D (I'm still looking for it) is hard to find!

I must say, the snes version still gives me the goosebumps, since I've played it back when I was a kid and was new to playing Doom. The controlling is a bit hard to move around and some of the songs are gone and replaced with other ones we known, and the monsters won't look away from you and make a loop movement and cry as it'll come closer and attack you. I still enjoy it, if only I still had my snes and the game...

Looks like you've totally revamped the Doom Engine. As to achieve 3d you've got to leave the 2d planes of iDoom. Lots of work was put into making that.
