It depends on the dog's lineage. My yellow lab is very large, but can also be aggressive to strangers, though he's very gentle with everyone in the family. Most of them tend to make friends much faster though. And they mostly have a very deep voice, which is intimidating to someone who doesn't know much about the breed.

I didn't see fat Labs on this clip but unfortunately Labs can put on weight if they are overfed and not properly exercised. They can become couch potatoes, maybe because they're pretty mellow
