I was 12 years old when I heard this song, begged my mom to by me the tape. I was 12 with an existential crisis, believe it or not. With my walkman on, I listened to it thru & thru. Now nearing 28 y/o, still have that tape, but my mp3 player plays that song very often. Just like the first time, when I listen to this, I can still go back to that way of feeling a sense of loss. After watching this a second time I can't help but laugh in disbelief! This self anointed "mathematician" thinks he sees fractals on buildings that aren't even close to square (square in the definition of any architect meaning 90 degrees). He sees fractals in circular constructions that are so lacking in roundness that the planner didn't even use a simple string and stick method to make the circle. Also, the windsor tower in madrid, a building that was mentioned in this video, had all of the floors that were made entirely of steel collapse due to fire. The floors that were made of concrete stood. If you look at the picture, you don't see steel, you see a lot of concrete. That building shows that steel buildings can collapse due to fire.

It would be alot easier for begginers to first put your horizon line, add one vainishing point, draw different rectangles, and then do the perspective. How you do that is take a ruler and draw a line from the corners of each square to the vanishing points.

I just got back from Clark, and the upper level of M is destroyed while part of S is burnt and water-logged. I didn't get to see the rest of Clark, but the Physics, Math, and Psychology buildings are all gone, and over a dozen faculty houses are also destroyed.

i graduated Westmont in 1997 and I lived in clark "g". The clark halls dorm is a collection of small buildings which are lettered. most recent info is that 5 of the dozen or so of these small buildings are lost, including the "G" building... so sad... i'm heartbroken

I graduated from Westmont. Clark Building is burned? Oh no. Hope the students in the gym will be safe and not get smoke inhalation. There must be a lack of air in the gym since there is no electricity for A/C. I heard that the smoke is coming into the vents and the es all around them.

Thanks for posting this, huz. I grew up in SB back in the 1960s/1970s, near the Samarkand area. I was in 3rd grade during the Coyote Fire, and remember so many other fires there as well over the years. My heart goes out to all Santa Barbarans right now. I am following the news out of Santa Barbara closely.
