Wow. I think that's the point of burning man, to the last commenter... To have at least 1 week of freedom from the cops, freedom from paperwork/licenses going through multiple bureaucracies just to set up your artwork, etc. If people are hurt, then the cops should be there. They clearly are doing just fine though. Burning Man is just free, unbridled creativity. I'd like to go there one day. I wish there was a state or a country that was that free.

I disagree. The music you hear at Burning Man is so diverse. I've heard all kinds of music from Polka, Hip Hop, Rock and hillbilly banjo to Electronica. Anything and everything goes at BM...and to a previous poster...it is NOT a "heavy drug fest". There are probably just as many drugs being done at any dance club you've ever been to. The experience is different for everyone. I go for the amazing (fire) art and a break from the redundancy of my everyday life. It's just FUN!

Oop. My bad Jaime. I actually liked your video.and yes sometimes I feel unnoticed and bitter. Especially when I find myself in a place where everyone in charge is treating me like I dont belong there. I wish i could have experienced more love and happiness at the Burn before I forked out $300.I really wanted to have a good time. Yeah, I assume he makes huge profit for sure. I agree the entrance fee went too pricy. But at the same time, I was amazed how this event is well developped and organized with quite a lot of crews and staffs with security and support. Cheaper tix will cause over population, may lead out of control. I paid $250 on 2006, but $400 made me think, not going this time.. hope they don't charge $600 on 2008 to recover Rebuilding-Man-Fee!!

instead of consuming things (meals, canned entertainment) u create and give. and there's TONS of entertainment! besides great parties, i saw an incredibly impressive circus, fire dancing, wow artwork. went for the first time this yr. wouldn't call it transformative, but it was a great break from everyday life. everyone's friendly + giving, the extreme environment means only ppl who really care attend, you get to spend a wk w/o commerce or cars. def not for everyone, but def not a scam.

The feet have springs in the old videos as well. The angle that the legs pivot toward the back of the step doesn't allow for more travel on the feet.(the coil springs compress 6") and are rated for 1200Lbs They are there for minor dampening but mostly to help lift the leg at the end of the walking step and keep the feet in the right position. I will be adding 4 more leaf springs to the upper arms to help dampen the leg impact.

In the new videos it looks like the legs now have spring loaded pivoting toes on the ends to absorb the shock slightly. as short a stroke as they seem to have would extending them so that it is more like a foot instead of a toe, and a heavier spring like some coils of an Aerostar or something so that it is always held on the toes and the actual legs never bottom out on the ground. it would be bulky though and might not fit the look of your machine which is highly impressive as is.
