Well... I didnt post the video. But, he used a calligraphy style dip pen with an oblique nib. you can get a fountain pen anywhere from 10 dollars to 500,000 dollars. Most of my pens are in the 10-80 range, but I do have a Namiki Vanishing point for 105 and saving up for a 400 nakaya.

yes. But the chances of you finding a fountain pen that will "flex" like this are about 0 nowadays. You can get a vintage one, like a really old Sheaffer or Waterman, or the Swan. Actually, you can get a Namiki falcon with extra flex put in by Richard Binder of John Mottishaw. Good luck. Join the fountain pen network for more info!

Chinese calligraphy is way more complicated than western calligraphy, each single Chinese character is made up by different part and their positions r not just side by side horizontally, a little bit distance adjustment between each part vertically and horizontally will make difference.

Also Chinese calligraphy is the combination of straight and cave, density and spacing (different part of the character, not just the thread), fast and slow (the move of brush).. much more element involved. Its more loosen to write a Chinese character than western character, hence more human creativities are involved. But it is too difficult, so lots of rubbish ruin the image of Chinese calligraphy and take advantage of it to fool the world.

I have to disagree with light this city. Ally has a better growl. You really can't compare a straight up metal band like straight line stitch to a metalcore band like Bloodline either. They are so different in the way they need to project their voice. Ally is Queen in hardcore.

This is a live performance (in front of an audience) of music and writing. The act of writing is an art in itself, and the music is an additional element in the performance. While it may look like random scribbling to western, unaware, eyes, there's a very ancient tradition of this type of 'Mad Monk' calligraphy. No, unfortunately, the felt tip will never have the clarity and crispness of the quill. In fact even a metal pen, if it's as sharp as the quill, becomes like a razor edge and bites the surface too much! The ink stone and stick can be found online or in art supply stores for less than $20 probably. Of course you can also pay a lot more ;-)

No expensive pens. Just like photography, it's not the expensive camera but the practiced eye of the photographer which makes a good photo. In calligraphy, the eye and hand work together to create rhythm and 'melody' in the writing. The quill is the best pen you can use, but it also takes skill and craft to create!
