ok. i don't own the Singapore dollar. it's not mine. I am Australian. Singapore airport shops take singapore dollars. i dont think thats very dumb. I never said your quote or the other quote wasn't in US$. i assumed they were. if you do the maths $1200 is about the same as S$1700... atm. hence my comment on airport prices being generally high. fyi. specs from fujitsu australia are "up to 3 hours". anyhow thanks

OK, this thing is intriguing for shooters. But I'm not sure how this would work with the accuracy and such. Sure, the shooting might be QUITE (probably not pixel-) accurate. But how about the turning + aiming, it must be a simila principle to the dumb analog-sticks on consoles. Over-aiming and -turning all the time, maybe not as bad. But it still seems like it would be similar to that, which I would hate.

The technology website CNET.com mentioned Algae Biodiesel in a short segment. Considering that Algae grows quickly, is carbon neutral and the fuel (biodiesel) being produced will run in the most efficient internal combusion engines we currently use, this could well be the best alternative to petroleum.

Great video! Finally a green fuels company that states a goal for the price per gallon they're shooting for! I'm an instant critic of any alternate fuels company that doesn't even talk about doing their thing cheaply. Oh, there's a lot of hidden problems within the process but the main constraint is lowering the cost of the production so that they can sell the oil that is affordable. Heck, growing the algae itself poses a problem. How are you going to do it cheaply? Find a pond and build a plant next to it? (Will the government even *let* you do that?) Build your own artificial tank - (if yes, where are you going to find a big enough plot of land cheaply) and etc. That's just the tip of the iceberg.

Basically an electric Hybrid, an added advantage in the stirling engine design is that it could burn any fuel: even wood, gasoline, or small animals.

thanks! it seems they produced 276 tons of algae biomass/acre/year. Which would work out to 33,000 gal/acre/year if they used a high lipid content algae that grew at the same rate. Unfortunately, AFAIK high lipid content algaes do NOT grow at the same rate. They are less robust species and grow slower coz it takes extra energy to create lipids. I'm no expert though, i'll be happy when Valcent proves actual oil yields. It seems to looking good though, they're definitely confident.

Jailbreaking is the process that allows you to run any application it, including the ones that apple have not approved for the App store, such as ones which need to run background processes, like some messenger clients and Last FM which sends information about the songs you're playing in the background. Apple doesn't allow those apps. If you want to install those apps, then that's worth doing. However, I think it will void your warrantee. Hope that help you out.

I have a V3xx. Its a decent phone. But (having the phone new twice for water complications) after about 6 months the phone really starts to wear down. for instance the back will not fully be attached all the time. The problem with vista is that it's bursting with DRM, extremely bloated (we're talking about 16 gb vs xp. Funny, windows get exponentially bigger, '98: 1gb, ME: 2gb, XP: 4gb, vista 16 gb) and so wrongly overpriced. 400$ for the FULL version of windows? WTF. And 230$ for the main version.... That's a bit over the top compared to when XP came out. Besides, Leopard only costs $129 for all its features. Vista is worthless. I will continue to use XP.

And as for benchmarks; the hard drive is slightly slower than SSD but not by a whole lot, but what they dont tell you is that SSD writes 3 times(!) slower than the hard drive, try defragging your drive or installing a programsigh

On Battery Life. No. The eee PC has a bigger battery life than the MSI Wind although you can upgrade the battery in the MSI to match The eee PC. The MSI has a better HDD (80GB MSI - 4-8GB eee PC) They both have a webcam and the eee PC feels alot lighter but in my vote. The MSI Wind wins as its more of a "killer" in my world.

The Intel Atom is just a name for the specially designed, smaller Intel Core 2 Duo CPU developed for the MacBook Air. I don't have a Zune yet, but I've been reading about it. I believe what you're talking about is the Zune Pass? The Zune Pass is OPTIONAL, but it gives you access to download unlimited songs from their library. It's 14.99 a month...and you keep the songs as long as you have the subscription going. You also have the option of actually buying the song/album, but with the Pass, you can listen to as much as you want for the one monthly price.

I dont get some things about this Zune. It looks attractive, but I read somewhere that I had to pay for something -2 download music and stuff- My question is: do I need to pay every month to get any specific service totally required to enjoy my Zune? And the other thing is...if I already have a very organized Library in WMP, do I need another program to sync it with the Zune? ..I want something like this 4 Christmas :D

I love my Zune 80GB! Not only can it store enough for ALL my music, but I can also listen to FM radio, Sync it with my computer wirelessly, listen for 25 hours straight on one charge, and sync it with my Xbox360. I got this after returning my faulty 80GB ipod, I love this one so much better, and it was cheaper than the ipod version as well. I definitely recommend Zune mp3/mp4 players :) But I also have to say that Sansa and Creative-Zen Mp3 players are also very good.

No equalizer, unfortunately. They cut it to increase battery life. Sucks, but if you have good earphones, you don't need an equalizer. You want to hear the music as it was recorded, and good earphones are the only way to do that. My Shure SE530's work great with the Zune, haven't used any equalizers since getting those. The included earphones are decent as well, interchangable ear plugs to get a good seal in your ear (essential to get good bass).

If you're getting a zune80 to organize video clips, don't. There is no way to organize video. Playlists only work with music. I was very disappointed. Without this feature, it is useless to me. Also, it doesn't have an option to autoplay. You have to toggle back and forth to select a video each time. It does play great and I loved it, but I got it for videos, and without a playlist functionality, it's useless.
