Just because U2 is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, that doesn't means Cook's version automatically fails. It's still an opinion. Cook has loads of emotion, but has little time to express it here being they only get a couple of minutes per song. It's not like he is in a recording studio and has practiced this song over and over. His voice sounded great and he did a great job...my opinion.
