The Who? you would say i dont appreaciate cornell's voice, well if i didn't like cornell, more so people would think i don't like the brilliance of Robert Plant, or the amazing vocal range of Ian Gillian, or the simply great voice of Roger Daltrey. I disagree somewhat. I think Audislave should have just been the debut and then they should have called it quits. However what Cornell and co achieved with the first AS album was something he could never have done by himself. Either way his voice was never going to be the same-even in EM it was obviously quite fragile.

He nearly wrecked his voice doing Audioslave. He doesn't sound anywhere near as powerful nowadays 'cos of all the damage he did shouting and screaming. Don't get me wrong, I like Audioslave, but he should never have done it. His voice will never be back to how it was with Soundgarden and Euphoria Morning.

good song but nothing beats his work on audioslave. The more i listen to his new work and that of tom morello, the more evident it becomes that audioslave needs to reform. Audioslave was just the best band, with the best bassist, singer, guitarist and drummer alive.

This version, while spectacular, is still a emo-version of the song while Mike's was more dance-worthy. Saying Cornell's voice is "hands-down" better makes you look stupider than you are. The guitar sounds lovely - I like the extra tones you get from your tuning as opposed to the original. The vocals are off mainly because you're not singing from your lungs. Open your mouth and sing out, and you'll sound so much better.

Kurt has a great range as well on the lower side, he just chose not to show-off (lisn to plateau and then lisn to lounge act). i wouldn't want them to reunite either. a new soundgarden record simply wouldn't give me the same feeling their 90s-stuff (and only the 90s-stuff) gives me. all their records were a major step for them and on the listening part for me as well and it was part of an era which is now gone. please, don't touch the past guys! it's perfect the way it is! btw. i do think chris would be able to perform their old songs properly, but you're right, it wouldn't sound the same.

i wouldnt want soundgarden to reunite honestly. chris's voice is shot to hell. its not his fault, though. soundgarden's catalogue is just absurdly demanding vocally. i don't know what he was thinking keeping songs like "jesus christ pose" on a regular setlist. now his voice sounds like he eats sandpaper for breakfast. tool doesn't perform "ticks and leeches" more than once or twice during and entire continental tour for that obvious reason.
