Congratulations to Denzel on this award. In my opinion, he should have also won hands down for his brilliant portrayal of Malcom X. His performance and commitment to the character actually made me forget I was watching a movie and think that I was looking at Malcom X himself! Denzel Washington is without a doubt one of the finest actors of this generation if not one of the finest of all times. And yes, every now and then I'll still pop in the DVD, "Mo Betta Blues" one of my all time favorites!!!

But thats what i think. Heath was a good actor but didnt do enough good movies in my opinion to be on there. Johnny is good also But not one of the greats. Sorry. The problem i have with the nation of islam is basically is that its NOT a nation of Islam, they do not practice Islam i do not know where did they got their beliefs from, that's why when Malcolm came to the Islamic world he changed his views and became Sunni Muslim, like every other Muslim, and as per Elijah he cannot have sex outside the marriage this is not In Islam, you can have more than one wife, you can not commit adultery, that is the problem with Elijah, beside he was not Muslim prob.

Tavis was playing the race card at all. He was dealing with an perceived impression (whether correct or not) that needed to be addressed. Because Denzel was oblivous to it, does not mean it was any less legitimate for others. Denzel's reaction, however, probably gave insight and helped others to rethink it. We should be appreciative of that rather than simply using the term "race card" to minimize what for others was a real, though, perhaps, illegitimate, feeling. I'm glad Tavis broached it.
