Some of the "Full Metal Jacket" footage was done at an RAF and Army base in England. The destroyed building footage where the soldiers are in combat was filmed near where I am from in Newham, East London. This was filmed at Beckton Gasworks (London Docklands area)which was due for demolition. The film which was released in 1987 I believe has this footage added to Iggy's track from 1972/73. The film is based on the book "The Short-Timers" by Gustav Hasford. As mentioned below, nice mix video.

Iggy had the initial mixing responsibility of the Raw Power sessions but apparently they only channeled to one speaker (and it wasn't Mono!). The first two Stooges albums 69/70 are now iconic in their influence and contain an energy similar to the MC5 that only Detroit could produce. This was two years before Bowie met Iggy. When Iggy was singing I wanna be your dog, Bo was talking to Major Tom. The Stooges live performances elsewhere on YouTube are all the footage that is known to exist.

Yeah, Jacques Camatte has some good stuff on how the proletariat is no longer the subject of history because everything they do is subsumed by Capital. Another interesting book is Gramsci is Dead by Richard J. F. Day. It basically postulates the idea of creating an affinity of affinities and decentralized micro-cultures to resist capital as opposed to creating another cultural hegemony in the image of the proletariat.

This is simple music, pretty much based on aggression and power and to me it seems they're managed to express these two elements well. I see nothing wrong with that. The system has unacceptable risk built into it. It's well-known among economists that MARKETS are INEFFICIENT, from the narrowest perspective. So to make it simple, suppose you sell me a car. We may make a good deal for OURSELVES. But we're not taking into account the effect on OTHERS. It's what's called an EXTERNALITY and there's an effect. If you sell me a car it increases gas prices, it increases pollution, it increases congestion, and that EXTENDS very broadly.

Its going to come down to the cost of fuel being inflated in the future to the point.. going to work wont be worth but yet cost me money.. Inflation from the massive amount of Currency introduced into the economy will destroy the middle class.. what then? hrm... glad I "cling" to my guns an bible. things aren't looking promising.. he is right about the inflation issue. but more government doesnt necessarily mean oppession. and less government doesnt mean lawlessness. unity and breaking prejudice can be government free. the government should exist to protect commonly held ideals, not enforce or take them away. yes i do beleive government should be for the people. and it is the last buffer between the people and private sector abuses. republicans need to realize at least that.

in a new society where the government looks to control our lives and the brainwashed society we live in centently ushers in this new age, we look back at some of the things this guy has said and realise that he had no agenda except for the well being of our country as we used to know it. its sad when someone comes right out and speaks to the heart of the issues and his words fall on deaf ears. we have given up our power and turned it over to the government. oppresion is coming sooner than later.

No, the gold standard had already become a joke by then. As soon as the Fed had the right to add additional cash to the system it screwed up the whole thing. The Depression was created by artificial demand that never exactly existed. The recession might have been created by trying to tighten the money supply, but that would have never happened in the first place had they not been watering down the supply to begin with. Then, despite the 'free cash flow' days of FDR it took WWII to get us out.

So theres was a good money and then that good money run off? So the central banks must supply an increase amount of money again. So another new fresh money out from the banks. The caused of inflation is an enormous amount of money to so called demand by business. At the same time debasing and creating inflation in the system. You must understand why McFadden is so against the creation of the FED.FED guaranteed loans, to benefit business and this is the contributing factor in our inflation.The easy money is the reason why monetary is expanding. They are profiting from the depreciation of the currency!As you see, they can control how much money supply. If you're telling no lies about central bank(FED). Yes, but the reason they went into a recession in the first place was because the government tried to artificially inflate the economy. All the money that spontaneously disappeared had never actually existed. The government had induced a fake demand, thereby creating the illusion of commerce (the roaring twenties). The Depression got worse when the government tried to throw extra money at it via programs and the New Deal. It didn't end until our country went into a wartime economy during WWII.

The fed turned the recession of 1929 into a depression because it tightened the money supply in order to keep us on the gold standard during a bank panic. The Fed doesn't want to repeat the same mistake again. Ron Paul still talks about the gold standard because he overlooks a century of its failures.
