Can you give me the exact citation of where the hadith(s) narrated by Abu Huraira about the angels looking for Dhikr circles is found? I searched Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud, and Malik's Muwatta and I could not find that Hadith. And can you also give me the citation for the Hadith you mentioned between those two? This is big bidah and not from Islam. Suffis have taken zikr to the extreme. The Prophet did not do zikr like this and yes zikr is a good thing but not the way these ppl r doing it. Fear Allah n stick 2 the Quran and Sunnah and not your make up ways. May Allah guide us all to the right path, ameen.

we should show in our religion, but also not pass judgement until the evidence is accumulated. for example, Suyuti, the hadith master clarifies that Abu Hurayra would use knotted string to make tasbih. for anyone on the salafi manhaj, then ibn uthaymeen has not condemned the use of beads, he only said using the hand is preferrable.

How can you not put too much value on Dhikr? We are making Salat 5 times a day, but the rest of the time we can be making Dhikr in our hearts or with our tongues and remembering Allah as much as possible! The loud Dhikr in Jamat works well to attract new people to Islam by its beauty, and to let beginners know how to pronounce difficult foreign words.

Dhikr is group is solat in jamaah, or listening to lectures on Islamic topics, sitting to listen to someone reciting the Quran and pondering its meaning. Dhikr on one's own is saying doa or supplicating to Allah and saying the zikr according to the formulas taught by the Holy Prophet in authentic Sunnah, and as practiced by his Companions. That's how Imam Ibnul Qayyim explained it.
