Il y a de cela dans la chanson on parle de les temps qui ont changé. Mais elle ne s'adresse pas à tous les hommes d'abord mais à un homme en particulier... C'est à cet homme là que la chanteuse fait une déclaration d'amour je dirais mais lui je ne peux pas vous dire il a peur ou quelque chose dans le genre... C'est sur une histoire d'amour avant d'être une généralisation, à mon avis, et elle lui dit comment elle l'aimerait lui si elle était l'homme ou si elle osait le faire comme femme !

Jeu simplissime à la gratte (cool pour les covers qui vont fleurir sur you tube ;-) avec très peu de variations. La totalité des morceaux de l'album est mélancolique Voix douce et phrasé superbe. Mais attention Alela de ne pas imprimer systématiquement cette même couleur aux futurs albums ... tu risques de t'enfermer dans ce registre, d'être étiquettée ... et de ne plus pouvoir en sortir ! well, as i've always seen it, it seems like a civil wartime anthem from the point of view of a daughter in a southern family. it would be easier to figure out and better clarified if it threw in the word yankee or something. haha. that's just always how i saw it, a sad haunting melody with lyrics of haplessness and confederate pride? the video helped my idea of this a bit.
