I'm guessing maybe Morgana hid the opal so no one would find it, that way the Djinn would never be released into our world again. At least that's what I think, if they ever make a Wishamster 5 I've always thought why don't they have the Andrew Divoff Djinn and John Novak Djinn both be awoken and are after the waker. I think it be kind of cool to see the two Djinn's teaming up to make a deadly team but that's just my idea. It still would be nice if they made a Wishmaster 5.

I too thought it was the same Djinn from all the films in which the opal he's stuck in travels from movie to movie, but according to the ending for 3, there would be no 4 if it was the same Djinn. I wish it was determined on what Morgana did with the opal after trapping the Djinn in it. I doubt it has any connection to part 3 after what I've heard on that commentary.

I had a feeling it wasn't the same Djinn but I wasn't a hundred percent sure, at first I just thought it was the same characrer but with a different actor playing the part but I guess that does make sense. The Djinn in 3 and 4 does have appear different, for starters he doesn't seem to be a Baby Djinn when he comes out the stone also he's horns are longer than Divoff's Djinn. Thanks for that.

I agree. If the first film taught us anything, the Djinn will twist anything in order to fuck someone over. He's a little bastard like that. However the order to freeze was a little more vague than usual since in the first, he keeps asking people to state the wish properly or suggesting a wish and asking them to agree. Plastic-y redesign of the Djinn makes me want to punch babies *sobs*

I thought so at first. But, just an opinion, maybe the order "freeze" was so general that the Djinn could interpret it in a lot of ways. One of it is to freeze something or anything and he chose to freeze the cop. But anyhow, I think the Djinn is not bound to any rules that he could do anything to anyone who gets in his way, but he usually grants wishes to people just for the fun of it. Just an opinion.

I think it's actually pronounced dyin. The "j" may have a "y" sound to it like in many other foreign languages. But I don't know if that linguistic rule applies for Semetic Languages like Arabic, from which thhe word originated.
