The driver probably took the turn too sharp and the edge of the rear tire caught on the tube barricade. Instead of stopping the person driving just pushed on the accelerator more and the truck tire climbed it. More than likely the operator then tried to back down afterwards and the vehicle slipped over the barricade trapping the truck on its axle. If you've not being attentive it's amazing how quickly you can get a vehicle in a situation like this.

#1 is wearing the helmet wrong. She's looking out what should be the bottom around the neck. It appears there is no visor on the helmet so it may not be fully obvious to someone who is unfamiliar with a helmet as to which way it goes. One of the bigger problems is that her side/peripheral vision is impaired by wearing it this way.

A snowstorm on the morning of Jan 16th 2007 left about 3-4 inches of snow and ice on the ground in Portland, Oregon. This is what happens to people with too much confidence in their 4WD and zero experience driving on icy snow.
Video was taken around SW Salmon and 20th Avenue, which is pretty steep (to be fair).

I agree. It's rare for Portland to get these kinds of snow storms. Most people that live in Portland equip their car to handle heavy rain. (Our typical weather) most of the cars that are able to handle snow / ice are owned by businesses. i.e. taxi cabs, tri-met. Very few people own tire chains or something to help with the loss of traction. I've been living in Portland my entire life and i've only seen one snow storm like this. But, that was 5+ years ago.

It doesnt happen all the time. Once or twice a winter, so it's hard to justify a huge investment in snow-removal equipment like the east coast where it happens all the time. And we don't salt the roads out here because it f's up the environment. And most of the Portlanders who "haven't experienced it" in ladybugsts24's words are the ones who have recently arrived here from warmer climes.

I agree that one needs to give respect to receive respect. The girl should have given the driver the respect and she would have received it. However just because she didnt let her off the bus doesnt mean she doesnt respect her. The driver was doing her job by not letting her off the bus. Simple as that

Generally, kids need to respect elders. It doesn't mean one shouldn't question authority though. In this case, the girl was clearly in the wrong. She should have sat there and waited for the driver to drop her off, but instead she started yelling and getting flipped out. She made a big deal out of nothing and got what she deserved. Also, you cant speak for all kids so dont say that we (I'm 17) all have respect because we dont.

Inever been happier with any other car ! I have taken my 06 BMW to dealer a few times and my saab 01 with over 150,000 not one problem well, except the sid unit. (the pixels are hard to read ) I cant complaint I paid $4,000 2 years ago and still runs like a champ!!!

Not quite right. The Aero is 260hp or 280hp (depending on model year). The standard 9-3 engine is now the 2.0T with 210hp. The new ones have a revised center stack without the rather confusing radio/numeric pad, it's much simpler now. I just bought an 08 last week and I absolutely love it. All the good about an Audi or BMW without the badge snobbery associated with each!

the aero version is killer it has the 210hp, paddle shifters and really nice wheels, the others suffer from turbo lag with ~175hp. they also have very nice interior but some ppl do think there are too many buttons on the center console which is definately confusing to use.

They are right about this being an overlooked car. I was looking for an Audi...all I wanted was an AUDI! Then I tried this car, and actually fell in love with it OVER the Audi. The ride is SO comfortable, looks cool, and handles like a dream. Give one a chance, for sure! The 2003 model I have is with a smaller, 175 HP engine...but it kicks butt.

heh, for 30.000$ in Poland you can only buy "naked" Bravo, MeganeII, C4, 308. None of them is a premium class as 9-3 really is. 9-3 in Poland costs about 50.000$, for a basic version of course.

I think it depends on what model you get. I have a 2006 Saab 9-3 with 25,000 miles with zero problems. All it has needed is two oil changes, every 10,000 miles. Of course I have the original turbo 4, not the turbo 6 from a Cadillac V6 which I have heard has been more troublesome.

the 9-3 was alwas my favorite car...kind of sport but luxurious too. this car is beautiful until you get to the back. wtf is up with that chrome piece in the back and those tail lights? they both look very cheap..almost like a quick afterthough. huge disappointment in my book. i wouldnt buy this car until those two things are changed.

My down for this car is having to go to the dealership at least twice a month to get something MAJOR or minor replaced. This car hurt my career and relationships. It's not Swedish, it's American. Save yourself 100+ hrs. of time off from work for maintainence.
