Paolini is my idol. I like writing stories and I'm 13. He PUBLISHED a book at 15. It won't happen to me...I still haven't even found a story I'm gonna write about! I bought Brisingr the day it was released, but haven't read it because I'm re-reading the other 2. I haven't seen the movie, but hopefully if I do it's good. Man this guy is amazing. He must've been dedicated to be able to write a huge book through high school. I just started 9th grade and I'm swamped with work...

this guy screams smart! i watched it n listened to his vocab n was amazed by how smart but smooth he sounded in the interview. Im sure this wasn't his first interview but he still talked with excitement and awe of his work. I dont think rowlings will be known for much other than the harry potter series. meyer is already known for the host alongside her series and chris is going to go a long way in his career cause he didn't get swallowed up by the books or the publicity that came with them.

Jealousy is natural though. One of the greatest obstacles aspiring writers face is publishing their books. Even JK Rowling got numerous rejections before finally succeeding in publishing the Harry Potter series.

As far as the movie goes the dude didn't even write the script for it. it was base on his book, which to my understanding he sold the rights to it to a company. and as far as him stealing the theme and idea from other author, get real people. there are dozens of other author out there that write about the same things. it's all about who is the better writer, in terms of story lines and the development of it. don't hate cause he accomplish something at 15 years of age and u did nothing.

The whole book is just so...cliche. I mean, I know it's an understood fact that no thought is truly 'original,' but damn.... Besides, I think much of it's success is based on the fact that he stole other popular storylines from better authors. He has a nice writting style, even if it borders on purple prose. So really all I have to say is he should develope his own plots. I've already read Star Wars and LOTR. I don't need to read it in his watered-down, skewed fantasy version.

Sloan doesn't get eaten, not even in the books. And yeah, the dying of the Ra'zac is a large problem because of the third book (I won't give away any spoilers). I agree with you: the film is poor, if you've read the book. The characters don't seem to fit the actors, and they all look a lot different then I imagined. However, when you didn't read the book, Eragon is a very nice film with good special effects and a lot of adventure :)

this game is too slow for me. Id rather play something fast, intense, mind-blowing like Contra 4, Ninja Gaiden DS, or UMK for ds. i guess im just such an adrenaline crazed hardcore olde-schoole arcade man that im tough to satisfy, but come on, navigation should not be so tedious. its not much better than the space maze in Space Ace for SNES. (Any company that makes Space Ace into a ds game will be slain by death note, mind crush, kamehameha hadoken and Gaara's funk coffin attack all at once.

ugh this movie was awful, they completely screwed up the movie! Arya doesn't even have pointed ears in the movie if u look closely at her, but i thought they got the charcter eragon really well and mutaugh was freaking hot other than that they screwed up the plot line and forgot to go to the city were brom's friend lived and where eragon learns to read that's just my opinion

I love this song. It goes so well with the story. I actually liked the Eragon movie. I admit it didn't do the book justice, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The on e thing they got right was the casting-aside from the chick who plays Arya (who's also freaking BLOND)they got every character right. And it doesn't hurt how cute Ed Speelers is, either.

Il film fa schifo.....Sostanzialmente la trama rispecchia il libro per il 20%(tagli mostruosi, tanto che l'avventura pare una scampagnata, tuttavia si è lasciato posto a scenette amorose che nel romanzo non c'erano), non ne ricrea minimamente l'atmosfera ed è piena di incongruenze. Effetti speciali mal fatti, fatta eccezione per Saphira(almeno quella)..... Basti pensare che gli Urgali sono uomini con la pelle dipinta!**

guarda ti do ragione sul film, non è proprio bello...ma anch'io ho letto il libro e non è questo gran capolavoro..si vede che è scritto da uno alle prime armi anche se ha una bella trama...quanto alla voce di saphira, non è il massimo ma forse è meglio così, il cinema ci ha abituato troppo a voci suadenti tutte uguali anche se belle, mentre nella realtà esistono voci brutte non per forza legate a personaggi negativi..cmq sei vuoi inorridire ascolta la voce del leone nelle cronache di narnia!! il film non vale un decimo del libro! è un miscuglio di scene messe a casaccio senza logica...se non avessi letto il libro non avrei capito niente della storia...la mia frase alla fine del film: "ok questo era il trailer...il film vero arriva adesso?! la voce di Saphira,il personaggio su cui si basa la bellezza del libro, affidata a una che non ha la minima idea di che cosa vuol dire recitare,figuriamoci doppiare!spero che non ci sia un seguito, altrimenti distruggono anche Eldest!
