If the lamp were perfect, under definition 1 God doesn't contain himself all "the requisite parts", he made us. Under definition 2, if God were a flawless being, his existence would be justified by itself and needn't to create man to by justified. Hmm... okay. Say you had a "perfect" lamp. Under definition 1, it would merely need to operate. Under definition 2, the one I think we most apply to God, it would need to operate flawlessly: tough to imagine with a lamp, but okay. But under definition 3, it would not be "perfect" until someone turned it on and used the light. OK, I see what you mean. So that the person doesn't tell God "How do you know I'm bad?" He sends him/her to earth so afterward God can say "I told you so." I can accept that, it makes sense. So he knows that that child will be bad or good, going to earth will just show that, but He doesn't need verification because He is perfect. It sounds harsh but all I'm arguing is what Christianity has taught me. Perfection includes a state of complete fulfillment. If He needed anything it means He lacks of something ergo HE wouldn't be perfect. He created mankind ipso facto he isn't perfect.

Good point, yes indeed if we could know before hand what kind of crime a person will commit then it is sensible to prohibit him/her from doing it. Same way, God knows who we are, what will happen, he foresees, so letting "commit the crime" is pointless and not very perfect like. Your second point, OK, I accept that. "God sought out someone to love." But that automatically makes him imperfect, doesn't it? As He relies upon something, someone else to exist happily.

This video is one hundred percent on target, and who ever disagrees is just denying the fact that Hell and religion make no sense. He would prefer to cling on to something non existent or that isn't there rather than cling to reason and logic which is irrefutable by means of facts and perfect equations. But then again, the next person will come by and tell me "you just have to have faith, I have faith" and by doing so miss completely the point the video is making.

Yes, there was forever before the world was created by God He created it Himself for us to live in, but man messed it up. I do agree with you that most people cant understand that there was forever before the world was made. Rand on Kant's ethics are not unfair at all - her criticisms of his ethics are valid on many occasions. It's Rand on Kant's epistemology that is unfair and uncritical. Thinking about it, if you DO like your life then you will have a natural desire or inclination to preserve it, on the other hand if you dislike or hate it then you will have a natural desire or inclination to end it. Complete opposites? Yeah right! They are two sides of the same silly "duty" coin. Rand gives her heroes all sorts of duties and god forbid they aren't fulfilled. What if someone wants to steal? What if they want to lie? Kill? Give charity to feel good? Rand won't allow it, they have a duty to be a certain way! You're taking vague uses of words at face value. Kant and Rand are both idealists who are limited by their own systems.
