Mmm. I don't mind Anette, for sure. I don't think I'd like it much if they chose a singer who sounded just like Tarja; it's seem like they had just picked a Tarja tribute singer. Evolution of art is good. And don't forget ... bands who are around a lot time change drastically even with the same band makeup. Rush alone has gone through three distinct stages over the last three decades, caused by events in their lives. Same musicians! Different sound. Still awesome!

Looks like you guys and girls don't get it in your heads...Every change needs a sacrifice. Obviously Tuomas did a sacrifice by kicking Tarja and that was the first fact that made Nightwish change. People change, just like the weather changes, there will always be a need to change from this to that. I do have respect for both Tarja and Anette, though they are very different and you can't compare them. It would be better to just enjoy the music and quit arguing. Great song none-the-less!

You could of course go to endless speculation about hidden meanings in Tuomas' life. And the breakup Nightwish had with Tarja. But really, folks are reading too much into the lyrics. Like all good poetry, it can be interpreted by anyone as he she wishes and is very touching to each in its own way.

This song is perfect for Anette. She's doing it really good. But i miss Tarja. They're both really good, i'm just more to the operatic sound. And in some songs (like Amaranth), i think Anette sounds too.... poppy.. But, she's still good. I just dont think she should sing metal.

How about everyone stops comparing Tarja and Annette. They are two completely different people with totally different vocal ranges. Tarja was a talented singer and didn't suck, at least in my opinion. Annette is just as good. She gives the songs a nice rich and warm tone. And the core truly is Tuomas, he writes the songs and is the leader behind the curtains. And if you don't understand what happened, just leave it alone. There's much more to the story than you'll ever know.

By this time in the movie Rei had merged with Adam to become a God-level entity. similar to when some other main characters died Rei assimilated them and thats what happened here. Thats why Asuka was still alive in the collective mind when the third impact happened. everyone is right, Anno wanted everyone to come to their own conclusion, so youre right in that b/c the power was off she shouldnt have felt it, but as the story progressed the pilots became able to sync higher, and i think she was on the verge of a 400% sync, her arm was split b/c she was almost completely one with EVA (thats my opinion) remember that this movie is just a "fan service" movie so some things were slightly changed to please fans to Eqvs Maya says "over 400%" *in vegeta voice*
