Yeah, I remembered now, you get cover in the garden next to Aeris' house. Yeah I thought the same thing about that damn tutorial, then I finally got tired of watching it. Anyways you wouldn't think that the game would be all that hard playing through it with only initial equipment... until you realize how many materia slots you get, which is not that many.

Well, it didn't take anything away from your point really. I thought for sure you get cover in the very first mako reactor, but now you've made me doubt myself. I think it's the materia Barret also offers to you for teaching him how to use materia. When I was a kid I thought he wouldn't give it if I didn't sit through the tutorial so I've seen the tutorial like 12 times. Memories^^

You're talking about independent materia right? Kinda purplish pinkish, at least when you pick it up on the field, you do have a point though. But, I think the "recover" materia is the first obtainable materia in the field. Honestly, I forgot where you get "cover". And yeah, the huge materia that you're talking about definitely looks pink... I stand corrected.

I agree with you on everything except that there is pink materia or at passive materia looks pinkish to me. They didn't have a huge materia, but they certainly were in FFVII. In fact the first materia you get in the game, not counting the ice and bolt you start with, is cover, a passive materia.

Well when it was first released it was called a 'tech demo', but in reality it was just the ending to Crisis Core. Don't know if it really was a tech-demo that they decided to add to crisis core, since it fit. Or if they always planned to add it to the end of the game, and just released it early and just called it a tech demo. Either way, still keeping those fingers crossed.wonder how long it would take to remake. Main thing is graphics, but wonder if game play would be changed much.

Eminence Symphony Orchestra performed the piece composed by Nobuo Uematsu called 'One Winged Angel' released with the Playstation game by Squaresoft (now Square-Enix) called 'Final Fantasy VII'.
The piece was performed at the Sydney Town Hall at the a concert known as A Night in Fantasia during October 2005

There's no such thing as bull shit filler to a prequel. Crisis Core is Zack's story that Cloud borrowed. Of course the things added in Crisis Core wouldn't have been mentioned in FFVII because CC didn't follow Cloud's life. It follows Zack's. Gosh.

Can I just ask - have you played the original? Ok now I'll answer as best I can: The girl that Genesis saw was the 'Goddess' from loveless. I think he had turned slightly mad and she came alive or something (not too sure) The fact that he had escaped was the reason they were hunting him down. Ok... so I just finished this game today and I don't get what the crap the story was about! lol. there was no such plan as a remake of ff7 in ps3. the video u saw is a TECH DEMO for ps3. it means, there's no such thing as ff7 remake. many ppl put their hopes up on it thinking there will be a remake. squareenis was surprised with the response of the fans. they also stated that there will be no such thing as ff7 remake. althoug, because of the rage of the fans, they are not sure whether they should make it or not. they may create new titles in the ff7 series but not a remake.

They can't phoenix down because in battle when you "die" you have only fainted. That is why after battle, the character is revived with 1 HP. In most RPGs when a character dies, he/she is either shown fatally attacked in an FMV, or shown battling at 1 HP and taking no damage. The latter is shown in FF7 Crisis core with Zack, while the other is shown in FF7 with the death of Aeris.

wouldn't be much of a tragic story though if that worked. technically when a party member is beaten in combat they're "ko-ed" and not "dead". i guess they only die if every party member is "ko-ed" 'cause then the monsters eat them or something. anyway, phoenix down only works on characters who are "ko-ed" and since Zack's already dying of his wounds he can't be healed either. just my thoughts

Now I find myself replaying it and observed different aspects of the gambitsystem and came 2 a conclusion that it is just like turned based without the back or preemptive attacks. Gambits allows u 2 use players as you would in a turned based game. it just makes the game move faster, instead of random fights that take time going in and out

eh. I am glad it's FFXIII that is coming to the 360. It uses a variation of the turn-based fighting that I like. FFVersusXIII uses a variation of the real-time fighting, like in FFXII, which I hated. Final Fatasy games should stay turn-based. Its always been that way.

I have to say that I thought everything about the game was awesome except for the final matches. By the end, I was completely disappointed. The battles with Omega & his brother were way too easy beat. They did such a wonderful job with the rest of the game that by the end, it seems that they just put all of their efforts into the graphics & the scenes but slacked extremely on the execution of the final stages. Plus...Did the female scientist have a thing for the father and the son?

Actually, the only parts where he isn't fast enough is due to dynamics and emotion; the rest of the song where one would expect it to be fast is fast, and there are some parts where he actually plays it just a tad faster than the original. That huge speedup at the end is intended though.

Yeah...I had this game for the PS1, and i LOVED IT. It got a few scratches in it, though, and screwed the whole game up. The part where Cloud falls after they fight a big robothing, and it explodes. Ah, how could i forget? at least 3 million battles, some hard, some easy, this music was just DRILLED into your head. Not that im complaining about it, but it CAN get annoying after 16 straight hours of training in The overworld near junon! (I leveled to 70 from 20 and god it was a pain in the ASS)
