Might that paintwork been done by The Fool Collective? I know they were one of a few at the forefront of hippie/psychedelic graphic design work in the late '60's, but they were pretty strong in Great Britain and Europe. Yes, that's right. Jack played a Fender baritone in the early days of Cream. I read that a famous artist gave it a "psychedelic" paint job for him that took to long to dry. It was sticking to his shirt so he bought the Gibson EB-3 bass as a replacement. Good call.

I think he also wrote MacArthur Park as well.
