Yes, tree trimming party, as we call it. Where at Christmas time some people invite friends and neighbors over to help decorate the Christmas tree and the rest of the place and the host makes a nice dinner, in my case that night spaghetti and broccoli with cheese on top. I didn't want to decorate alone because I know from experience how empty that feels. I'd decorated a 4-5 ft. tree quite nicely when I was in the Air Force and it looked picture perfect, but there was still a void...

SF may not be for everyone, but that said, I'm a military kid who's lived all over the US and there is no city I'd rather be. The people there are nicer and more overall "beautiful" in many ways than anywhere else I've ever been, as a whole. I had to move (again) but rest assured, I'll be back. People in SF tend to be very moral, sincere, and caring; they just aren't Bible Belt moral, and the last time I checked the bible told you not to judge others.

Ya, I've always heard people mention that about SF. People tend to be more tolerant of different people here. It's why so many gay people live in SF because other people don't bother them there. Speaking for myself who grew up in the SF bay area, I feel this way myself. I know I don't like to be judged, so I try to treat everyone the same regardless, unless they aren't nice to me. Whereas I see LA people as tending to idolize all of the Hollywood figures, as if they are above everyone else.
