It was hard watching this. I know the cast were crying for real when they were reading Hartman's letter. That scene was not acting. Phil Hartman was a great part of News Radio and SNL. He made us all laugh and smile. I miss him so much. I can't believe he would be 60 this year. He was so ageless and funny to me.

Your video is great. Dan Hartman was my favorite white male disco star.I can remember dancing to this song and loving it, but fearing I would drop from exhaustion because it was so hard driving and lasted so long. Dan wrote and released one of the first New Age alblums in 1985 called New Green and Blue. I found it in bargain bin years ago. It is one of my favorites of the genre. It doesn't usually appear on his discographies. It may be out of print. I treasure it.

Watching this show on DVD, I can't say I understand it at all. This is probably because the lack of a laugh track makes me wonder when I'm supposed to laugh. Everything just seems empty and awkward. Yet still I watch it, and I find myself wondering why they aren't releasing more episodes, with the dorkiest bald man ever with back hair, and the eternal repetition of dialogue. I think Susan Harris worked on this and Soap, cause the similarities between the two are startling.
