What I don't get. I notice many of my HD-DVDs look better than my BluRays. The HD-DVDs also they cost less so the only thing we get by allowing BluRay to come out on top is being butt raped. Sad times. :(

yeah youre right about internet speeds, unless we all get fiber optic / T1 lines for the same price as dial up ;-) But you know, to me if blue ray burners replace the DVD standard at a people price it would be worth a welcomed adoption as a convenience,optical media players are ok to play 2003 cd/dvd collections but I find there are better value/protective storage options, with high-resolution MPEG-2/Divx and uncompressed video and formats moving to flash cards not sure how far blueray can go.

Your claims of new usb drives may be true but at the same time flash drives above 8gb cost loads. And internet fast enough to replace physical media costs hundreds of dollars a month and the average consumer can't afford that. You still also have to consider the price of the games of course.

Too bad blu-rays read 5 times as much as a dvd at once making them faster than dvds which are already around 8 times faster than flash drives. In order for people to switch to streaming on the internet. The internet will have to be much faster so that is far in the future. In other words blu ray disks are the future until faster streaming is availible.

optical media is useless given the better and more affordable storage options we have today bill gates said all games movies and music will be sold on flash cards and usb keys! optical media gets scratched is big, unpractical, makes spin noise, often gets corrupted and the disc spins for the hole time of the movie rather than just load on the drive which justs wastes energy by over using the laser, why would you hang on to a format thats obsolete?... whatever

Yeh, not to mention they only have like 2 good titles coming out this year. Talk about blowing your load prematurely. Rushing out their system with shitty hardware and releasing all its good "exclusive" games in the first year. All it's AAA titles eventually get ported to PC and often end up being superior on the PC. No real reason to buy one at all is there? Way to shoot yourself in the foot M$.

Because xbox 360 doesnt have a built in blu ray disc player like the ps3 and game sizes are steadily increasing as the graphics and level sizes icrease it will be too soon that you will see multi disk xbox 360 games, if you dont believe me look at the ps2 that used the same disk format as the 360 but with shitty graphix and small level sizes i heard that within the next 3 years sony's ps3 games will exeed 100gb of data thats like 8 360 disks.

I said goodbye to Dragons Lair after I beat it in the 80's until Dragons Lair 3D where I was let down by the "Star Wars Effect" Just because it has the name associated with it you expect it to be as good as the original and they hope you ignore its flaws. To me linear games suck and just because its high def doesn't make it better. Its the same game only it looks and sounds better. I have played Dragons Lair over 100 times over the years and I have beaten it on more than one ocassion. I dont top have mind splitting graphics to think a game is fun. I still play pacman so there. My friend has Dragons Lair on 3do and its available on pc anyhow.

yea their is honestly no difference. Matter of fact, Hd-dvd was better than blu-ray because it had soo many features, but it wasn't built into the xbox360 like blu-ray was....which was a shame that toshiba gave up so easily because this was a really good format.

thanks dude. I made about 3 different versions of this movie that night. One of them did use a bunch of screen caps but it didn't really seem like real time so i went with the camera footage. if it makes me less of a geek, so be it. i'm a filmmaker, so I used film. 5/1/2007 never forget.
